Terrific.

It's beginning to look like Pools might have been telling the truth when they said season tickets were going up to strengthen team building.

I'll be down for mine this week.

Only three of those players started the 2014/15 season for us.

None of those players played for us in the 2012/13 relegation season.

Have we finally had the long awaited clearout?

We've paid money? Like actual money? Like as in the paper version? My days.

TOWN IN 15 EVERYONE.

I might be be missing something and it doesn't matter right now but it doesn't say what sort of deal. Normally if its a cash deal we say undisclosed but we haven't. Welcome to the club Carson, lets hope he can keep up his form from last season.

I'm pretty sure the last of player we paid for was Baldwin for a nominal fee

Cheltenham echo says we paid for his wages in June and July so on some planet that it is akin to a fee.

It might be going over the top a bit, but this is the most optimistic I've felt since the season following the Cardiff final.
Except this time we have a real manager. And still nearly two months to build the newbies into a team. What is there not to like? (Team wise, not club structure-wise.)

Say what? I had a quick look at it online and this is the comment:

"Hartlepool contacted the club early last week, but the offer did not meet the Robins' terms, but now it appears a second offer has seen a deal struck."

Nothing about him going for the equivalent of 2 months' wages!

another great signing. I'm actually a little shocked but very pleasantly surprised. A cheeky bet on promotion has to be on the cards now.

That's what they've put on their twitter. Richard Mennear retweeted it. I tried to print screen it and put it on here but it says the file size is too big. But yeah, just says what I wrote up top basically. The gist of the comments is that they're not happy they didn't get a fee. Hardly surprised tbf

Just thinking the same thing myself. I have never been in a betting shop before or ever laid a bet on anything but fancy a tenner on us to go up next season. Any of you gamblers out there know what the odds are at the moment? sctatchinghead

8/1 with ladbrokes is the best on odds checker. Been meaning to have a 'calculated risk' myself.

Two months wages?! So we got a new keeper for, what I'd guess is, approx £2000. The Cheltenham chairman wasn't joking when he said he wasn't looking for £100,000.

Can I just say fair play to said chairman again. Firstly for his openness, as others have already said, but also for not standing in the way of someone's career and desire to move back up north.

Regarding the above, I cant help but feel Magnay is here to play right back/right wing back more than Centre back. Im not sure Moore fancies Duckworth at all so wouldnt be surprised if Duckworth on bench and Jones in at centre back.

Although Moore said he wants two wingers in so maybe were not going to have a set formation and it will be chop and change each week depending on opposition etc, we will certainly have the personnel for it if the 2 wingers come in.
