Why didn't we go for a Darlington friendly at home? Similar level of team which would draw a real good crowd and swell the coffers!!

Glad we aren't playing one of the 'big' 3 neighbours, achieves jack shit in terms of preparing for the season.

i know we were trying to play Sunderland again so either they declined or RM didn't think it would be a good enough test

I know they are a decent pay day for pre-season games but they do nothing for us so i won't miss them and we don't have the expense of going abroad as well so its fair enough. We get through thr games quickly so they should be good for fitness.

York are now the rent boys of the big three saying they want friendlies and closer relations with them

I would like to see us play one of the big three personally, maybe 2. Middlesbrough being one so then we've had opposition from every level of football around us.
