Six foot four centre back sounds ok.
Get this keeper sorted then we can start looking for wingers.

A good old-fashioned defender's name as well.

Wasnt he linked with us going back to Chris Turners days?

Good news that Nelson wont be coming then :)

Aye just saw that.

A back 4 of Magnay, Harrison, Worley and Jones? Just try pumping high balls against us!!

sounds like a rock hard back 4 that. maybe duckworth in midfield? or back three with wing backs. not sure if ronnie sees jones as a left back, had him sat on the bench a few times towards the end of last season with austin playing there

I agree Jones better at centre back, just not sure which he will leave out if playing 3 at back! Suppose Magnay could be wing back.

If the rumours are right, you can add 6'5" Mikkel Anderson to that too!

Hopefully the keeper Trevor Carson can be added to the list of new signings

Worley did his anterior cruciate ligament last August and only got back into Stevenage's squad right at the end of the season.

Pools are taking a bit of a gamble on his fitness but hope it works out for him and us.

Another signing of a player who has played at this level for a long time. Very pleased, even though as mentioned he has had injury problems. At least he isn't signing older players at the end of their careers like most previous managers. Young and hungry seems to be what he is going for.

Magnay, Harrison, Worley, Jones, Duckworth as a back 5 doesn't seem too bad...

Magnay, Harrison, Worley and Duckworth would be a pretty good defence if Ronnie chooses to play with a back 4.

Magnay, Harrison, Mirfin, Worley and Duckworth would be a better back 5, with Jones as cover.

I'm pleased with the way thing are going but I am hoping we will still bring in some real experience in defence and some steel in the centre of midfield, maybe Tshibola?

I haven't given up hope Mirfin and Tshibola season long loans might happen.

The official site says he's 6 ft 4 but I'm not convinced by this picture.

clappp

After a year out with an injury, he'll probably be a bit rusty, but apparently he's tidy, got a good engine on him and he's good at long clearances..

i think duckworth is in big danger of not getting his game. It became obvious that ronnie doesn't rate him based on last season and fact magnay played most of last season at right back suggests he may be playing there. Although a back 3 of Magnay, Worley & Harrison with duckworth as wing back on one side may be an option?

Think there's a possibility that Duckworth might end up our leftback. Ronnie was trying him there towards the end of the season.

It might even end up Magnay, Harrison, Bates, Worley and Duckworth.

If Bates signs and can maintain his fitness I do think Ronnie will get the best out of him.

So would Worley have replaced Hartley at Stevenage Boro when he went to Plymouth?
