Looks like he's enjoying not playing. Only hung up his gloves a few year back and looks to be approaching 20 clem

I would imagine that the fact that Tony Craig is now our Goalkeeping Coach we won't be signing Harper as it supposedly involved him being Keeper/Goalkeeping Coach.

Did anyone believe Harper would come? I posted it on here jokingly and it ended up being reported nationally. He started 10 league games in the premier league last season and looked as capable as he always was, dropping down the leagues to a team that barely stayed up doesn't sound likely to me. Would love it to happen but can't see it.

Would rather keep Flinders than have Harper back.

It must just be me but i thought he looked shite.

He looked old, could barely move and way past his best.

I dont think he's capable of doing a full season at any level.

He conceded 2 against arsenal that i reckon flinders would save easily.

Not for me him, not on the wage he'd want, and at his age, we need to move away from this type of signing.

I've heard a few people mention this Alnwick, can't say I know too much about him. This isn't an arsey question but what would make him an amazing signing? Just seems an inexperienced kid to me.

Didn't Alnwick get a good run in the side earlier in the season when krul was injured?

Can someone remind the crack when Pears left, a lot of cost cutting talk at the time and yet just seems odd to release / sack / make redundant a goalkeeping coach to then replace him within 6 mths ( or was it longer than that).

Or did he leave cos Cooper resigned sctatchinghead

The club never announced he left at the time. I'd hazard a guess the article today is first time they mentioned it since he left.

Obviously it was reported on here the same day.

May have just been an excuse to get rid of him to be fair. He may have been a goalkeeping coach, but not necessarily a good one.
