Fuck, I thought this might have been the opening of a statement from our new owners.

I guess as Russ Green hired Ronnie and he was wearing two hats at the time (TMH and IOR) both parties can claim they were responsible for his appointment. What I do know is IOR were responsible for hiring Murray when we desperately needed a experienced man at the helm.

It's fair to give them credit for selecting a manager who got us out of a mess, absolutely.

On the other hand then it's also fair to say they selected the wrong managers or failed to back them over a long period of time that has seen the club go backwards at an alarming rate of knots to be point of having one of our worst seasons ever.

which is exactly where we were prior to IOR. They did provide the best years I think we'll ever see.

Which Ron acknowledged and never let the players forget they were in a battle. Make no mistake I AM NOT celebrating a crap season but enjoying staying up as many others are so grateful for. What part of clawing back those points to stay up was NOT a massive achievement from ALL concerned . :clap:

We've spent most of our history as a club on our knees, so it's now ingrained in our DNA that some of us act like we've just won the title, we didn't, we got away with it because two teams were even more abysmal than us... but by all means let the myths continue.
Ronnie Moore is the only part of the story who was a success, even the fans were muted for most of the season.... so in many ways it was a more a relief, but attributing anything other than relief to itis to be happy with mediocrity.
