Pitch being relaid again, seems like first time in ages they've put money back into the club's infastructure.

Peter Sutcliffe denied being the Yorkshire ripper for a long time.

If only everyone had believed him just because he said it.

You can't blame Ron if I was getting paid by someone I wouldn't say anything to upset them either..
Especially as they have previous for sacking people even when they've just gave them their two most successful seasons ever..

A strange thread title.
I thought IOR had given Ronnie some transfer money to help us get promoted.

Did the wonderful IOR tell you whether Russ Green was employed by IOR at the time, or had he signed for TMH?

We need answers.

IOR can cure conjunctivitis and they helped Andy Rafferty get employment outside of football.

FACT.

Fuck, I thought this might have been the opening of a statement from our new owners.

I guess as Russ Green hired Ronnie and he was wearing two hats at the time (TMH and IOR) both parties can claim they were responsible for his appointment. What I do know is IOR were responsible for hiring Murray when we desperately needed a experienced man at the helm.

How is this any different from what IOR said three or four weeks ago, when Hoddo claimed they had deliberately allowed TMH to take the credit for the appointment?

Probably none, but every now and then a member of the TBE comes on and declares their undivided love of IOR.

Its almost like its done on instruction.

Look lads we know you IOR, and we know you cant see any fault in anything they have ever done. I applaud your loyalty.

Just dont keep bragging about it.

It's fair to give them credit for selecting a manager who got us out of a mess, absolutely.

On the other hand then it's also fair to say they selected the wrong managers or failed to back them over a long period of time that has seen the club go backwards at an alarming rate of knots to be point of having one of our worst seasons ever.

IOR get a "MASSIVE BIG thank you" for overseeing the demise of HUFC to such a level that people celebrate like loonies that we didnt go out of the football league.

The only "MASSIVE BIG thank you" they will get off me is when they finally fuck off for good.

which is exactly where we were prior to IOR. They did provide the best years I think we'll ever see.

Time for them to move on now though

A bit like the captain of the Titanic praising the lifeboats.
A disatrous season from the off. Yet, despite being saved at the last minute, it appears some regard it as some massive achievement that has erased from the collective memories the dire record over the past three seasons. Time we looked at what happened and learn from it, not re-write a sorry history into some fairy tale.

I would like to sponsor your Medium sized shirts, so that I cover all your manufacturing outlay, and all I get in return is that when anyone asks the owner what they are wearing that day, they need to announce that it's the "Medium-sized-I-love-IOR-shirt-sponsored-by-McTee".

Which Ron acknowledged and never let the players forget they were in a battle. Make no mistake I AM NOT celebrating a crap season but enjoying staying up as many others are so grateful for. What part of clawing back those points to stay up was NOT a massive achievement from ALL concerned .

We've spent most of our history as a club on our knees, so it's now ingrained in our DNA that some of us act like we've just won the title, we didn't, we got away with it because two teams were even more abysmal than us... but by all means let the myths continue.
Ronnie Moore is the only part of the story who was a success, even the fans were muted for most of the season.... so in many ways it was a more a relief, but attributing anything other than relief to itis to be happy with mediocrity.

You know how hard it is to change your football club alligence?

I wonder if the same applies to owners.

Will the TBE leave Pools and go wherever IOR go?

Just asking.
