Just back from a brilliant night...headlines are-

No mirfin, Fon Williams or Bird coming in (despite trying to get him) but spoke as if. Bingham is a shoe in - quote 'Bingham and Fenwick are going to score us lots of goals next season'

He would be a very good signing for us, a striker with good pace is what we need. I liked the way we were set up with Bingham into the team.

Bird is a strange one, must be on decent money. Couldn't get a game at Cambridge so sent to the bottom team on loan, did well for us but still released by Cambridge who have done fook all this year.

So where is he going sctatchinghead

I guess it's all down to money and to be honest, yes he was okay but there will be equally as good people out there confised

Although not a regular starter for Mansfield he was the top scorer for them, as well as picking up goal of the season award.

He doesn't fit into the Mansfield thug type of player.

Like someone else said, he isn't their type of player at all. He wants to play a bit whereas the rest of their squad just want a scrap.

Bingham and Tish was a partnership and a half. They were both at their best playing together. Dare I dream?

Just he hoped to get Tish back but thinks he will go to a League 1 club.

Said ken and Russ had Been very very supportive and given him everything he had asked for ( and forgiven home for signing and not playing Morgan)

Didn't really go into other specific players - did say he hoped 8/9 coming in... Would be using loan market too.

Said he absolutely loves it at Pools

Bingham is a funny one for me, he never seemed like a goal scorer but still scored 8 without playing too much so with the right coaching hopefully he could double that tally but even 8 would be clear as our top scorer this year. I remember one of his games at the Vic where he got the ball in our half, took on 4 or 5 players and blazed it about 10 yards wide and into the car park. I think he and Fenwick could benefit each others development learning off one another.

I agree that Sam will one day make a good manager and I'd like to see it here. He is a nice man with proper values about life and football. He once said players need to learn what its like to be a man before a footballer. Baldwin, Burgess and Harrison last season all said they loved played with him because of the help he gave them. As caretaker it was he who gave the likes of Dan Jones, Woods and Hawkins a chance which has benefitted us greatly this season. Working with a manger like Ronnie can only help in for the future greatly.

If we cant get bird and we cant afford Williams wages it doesn't sound like we will be spending very much at all then.

Bird had said when the loan was first mentioned he was unsure because of the distance but Nelson persuaded him to come. Perhaps he thinks he can get similar wages down south so if he was to move here it'd have to be bigger wages to warrant such a relocation

Be interesting to see if the wages saved are reinvested otherwise it will be a team full of loans again.

So does this mean we are likely to see them on tv sat together in the audience of the Graham Norton show?, or getting one those free home interior makeovers?

Cannot see Tish coming back, only chance would be if we were assembling a squad capable of promotion.

Happy that it sounds like Bingham is coming back and if our wage bill is not slashed again am sure Ronnie will assemble a team better than Cooper's.
