I had, in the following order...

Slade (Slade In Flame logo)

X-Ray Spex (Black on white, painted by Mike Ritchie!)

Buzzcocks (from the cover of "Another Music", red on yellow)

Stiff Little Fingers (The "barcode" logo from Nobodys Heroes)

Then finally a GREAT Costello which I copied from the cover of Almost Blue using one of those "drawing Machines" which was like a concertina-type thing.

When I started at the steelworks I painted it white and used to wind up the numbskulls by writing "Hermans Hermits", "Dickie Valentine" etc, ANYTHING to provoke dismay and grimaces. I'd regularly change it to things like "New Riders Of The Purple Sage" and "Thirteenth Floor Elevators" just to see what the thickhead "chors" would say. rolfl rolfl rolfl rolfl

Tell the truth ECG you had this painted on your haversack........

Deep Purple, Wishbone Ash, LUFC - no paint though, just felt tip pen. Did anyone have a 'great coat' to accompany their sack?

Stroll on. Though I do still wear a denimn jacket - i'm not sure that one would fit me any more WW. Can't bring mesen to bin it though cos it's part of my mad youth. Represents the years spent fleeing round the country in an old hippy van thing going to various rock concerts n that. Telling me Mum I was off to my mates house for the evening then getting into the hippymobile and heading off to St Georges Hall.

Happy days.
