Enjoyed watching the goals and superb come back. Felt as though their first and third goal were keeper error's. We may need to look at bringing a new keeper in but being overseas I don't get to the games and therefore I don't have a balanced view of Flinder's performances over 46 games.
Was around when Lenny the Lion (Ashurst) got us out of trouble during the 70's which I always thought was the "great escape" but this year topped it !

I was stood right behind the goal and I don't think Flinders could have done much with the first. The lad wasn't closed down, our failing during the full half, and the ball came through a mass of bodies right into the far corner in off the post. It was hit quite well to be fair I'm not sure what Flinders could have done better. The third he was poor though but our defending was all over the place. I don't think Bates understands the concept of marking or staying with his man. He's a good footballer with the ball but a bit of liability at centre back. If he's here next season he needs to lose a couple of clem and play in midfield as he could be a good player for us in that position.

That second goal was just majestic. Surely that's a candidate for our best goal since Eifion's second at the White Elephant?

Flinders did look well dodgy for their first like.

Keeper not convincing on any of Carlisle's goals for me. As said already, 1st and 3rd were terrible.
Harewood looked good even in those short highlights and Duckworth's goal was great build up and even better finish.

Yeah, from where I was yesterday I thought Flinders could have done a lot better for the first and -like has been said- seemed slow to react (again that'll be because he thought a Carlisle player could put something on it). The third on the other was just poor; coming for balls is by far his weakest area and has been for years.

He seemed to go for it, stop, then go for it again but too late. Flinders may well be on too high a salary for next season, I like the lad as a Keeper but it will depend on Kenny Babes...

The goalkeeper position needs sorting out.
Had Rafferty not left then im sure Flinders would of been dropped.
You can dress it up as much as you want blaming the defence but how many long distance shots go straight thru him.
His reflexes are way to slow highlights from this season prove that.

His footwork was shocking and why on earth he hesitated is beyond me. Should have been a comfortable save.

3rd goal was embarrasing.

He has improved recently mind but I hope Ronnie is looking for a new number 1, his previous sides always seem to have a very good keeper.

If he is, as I suspect, one of the higher paid players, his performances have not warranted it. He's looked good in the past but if there's another option I'd snap their hand off...not figuratively speaking. Trouble will be finding the alternative and persuading them to join the team that's only just remained in the league for the last two years.

In a game with just one foul i suggest this game is treat like it was a testimonial.

All goals, defending, comebacks, individual performances are irrelevant. Meaningless. Pointtless.
