Pools fans there yesterday which wasn't far short of the numbers that went about 10 yrs ago when we were playing well / pushing for promotion to the championship.

The only real time we got more fans was when the away end was full.

So is that about the best we can ever expect sctatchinghead

Despite the god awful season, those fans could easily be maintained next season if the ownership debacle is sorted out and quick.

How nice it would be to finally win a trophy next year under Sir Ronnie

I think most of the fans who "may return" where there yesterday.. The needs of the club overriding their hatred for the incumbent Chairman and CEO combo..

I thought I was in the fucking bernabeu with that atmosphere yesterday. Every single pools fan helped get that win yesterday. Amazing.

Brilliant wasn't it you wont get many better atmospheres than at pools when its bouncing. The atmosphere in the millhouse pub after was top notch as well

The gate seemed less than I thought, looked like 5500 to me but the rink end was very sparsely populated

Home capacity is 6800 so where were the 2000 empty spaces.
It might not of been an issue years ago but with the FFP rules any income not getting declared will obviously affect the quality of the playing side as only 50% of turnover can be spent on players wages.

If this trend were to continue over a full season then it soon becomes a big issue.

Its been going on for years at pools and anyone who thinks that 4800 was correct should look at the pictures of a rammed millhouse stand which holds nearly 3500 on its own.

It wasn't rammed though there were plenty of empty seats in Millhouse seating block A.

People where stood in the yellow "do not stand zone" in the front of the Milhouse.. Thats the reason why a lot of the seats where empty..

I disagree.

I think at the end of the day the cost to go and watch a league 2 side, that have been in such a rapid decline from 3/4 years ago, is extortion. Pools need to get rid of the high earners who don't want to be here, pay sensible wages and make it affordable to the average man/woman with families.

£15 for adults and £5 kids would maybe entice people back, and pools would generate more money on food/drink by having kids in.

Only my opinion mind..

For there to be 4800 there would have to be just 1600 in each of the three stands. The Cyril Knowles was sold out holds about 1600.The town end pretty full to capacity so that would leave the whole of the millhouse to have just 1600 people in. The attendance given must of been a joke.

The attendance was a joke thats why hodcroft n green are laughing all the way to the bank along with the transfer monies.
They have openly admitted they had budgeted for the conference next season.
So does that mean the clubs 750k better off straight away or do they reinvent the defecit from the last 17 years after Russ Green stated the club is completely debt free v oxford back in december!
