Jan Ove Pedersen?
Not as much of an impact admittedly but still fondly remembered and wasn't here very long.

Roy O'Donovan should be higher up in the cult hero tables, but Ronnie is streets ahead.

Roy o'donovan has had a bizarre career. Looked unbelievable for us but has never really scored goals anywhere else.

Fred Westgarth was a Pools icon but it took him 20 years like.

KEVIN POOLE
Last 13 games of 90/91 promotion season.
He played a massive part in us going up.
Me second favourite keeper behind dimi!

Gary Strodder made a solid impact at the end of 1999 season helping to keep us up, seemed to remember affording him with god like status at the time.

It was Paul Murray that took us up because poor Cyril became terminally ill during the promotion season.

I'm not quite ancient enough to remember Fred Westgarth so for me there are only 2 legendary Pools managers - Cloughie and Cyril.

Ronnie is already half-legendary and can finish the job if he gets Pools promoted next season.

Piece of piss after The Great Escape!

Shame we broke the unwritten rule about never bringing managers back for a second stint.

Yeah sorry - Alan Murray. Wouldn't care but I seen him not that long ago in the Black Bull in Yarm.

Its surprising how many Legends we have,no one has mentioned Gordon Watson but he was here a while.Do Legends have a specific shelf life until they are forgotten?

I think he's after ones who became legends really quickly or weren't here that long. All the main ones I can think of (Allon, McKinnon, Porter and many others) were all here for a season at least.

The best Hartlepool keeper performance I have ever witnessed in that game outstanding x 1000. Stockport brought on what must have been the tallest footballer in the world in the second half and he caused our defence all sorts of problems. We would have been well beaten but for a glorious Kevin Poole performance that night! I remember thinking it looked like a adult having a kick about with a group of 10 yr olds because he was foooooooooooooking massive.

John Macphail when he went in goal at the Goldstone Ground after about 30 mins, we went 1 nil down and yet still got a point out of the game

Didn't he save a penalty?

Yep, I think it was hodgey who got sent off, John macphail went in goal and saved the penalty. They still went one up but super Jackie Honour equalised with a cracker from outside of the area if I remember rightly

My memory might be fading but I'm sure Hodge was sent off after 5 minutes. Monty saved the penalty (even though the foul which I thought was a dive by their player was a couple of yards outside the box). Had an absolute blinder in goal and we equalised in the last minute.
