Well I hope they get beat, Boro may not be my favourite team but they are from the North East, we should be supporting them, not a bunch of southerners !

Sorry wanting "other Northern Teams to do well" is not a legitimate reason ..

Hope boro get stuffed in an emotionally draining playoff game. The only thing I like about boro is Dimi but even he doesn't want them to get promoted judging by their last game.

I'm sick of Boro after Cooper so up the Bournemouth!

There is already a few up there but teams like Bournemouth really do give hope for smaller teams; Boro have spent a lot of money whereas Bournemouth by and large have done it the right way with good football

And that served us well this season! Thanks Boro for Cooper, Parnaby, Bates...
Ok admittedly we've had some good loanees from them(more have been forgetable than not though) and Barron was a steady player for a number of years but I can't help feeling we're better off without their 'help'.

Do explain why we should be supporting other Notth East clubs..... because they're from the North East? That means absolutely nothing. They're competitors, not benefactors. The average fan of the ludicrously named 'big three' are barely aware of our excistence.

They are a great team but Tommy Elphick plays for them. Who would I rather see turning out in the Premier that cretin or Dimi?

Why is Harry Redknapp clapping the fans!?

Why?, seriously I can't fathom this attitude, they would quite happily swallow up our support if we folded, they'd even do it now

While I have no great love of Boro surely it's better get on with your neighbours, in football or in everyday life, than not.
We were glad of an extra support from any of Sunderland, Newcastle or Middlesbrough in recent games. It's true that we've had some less than impressive players from Boro lately, but are there any Pools' supporters who would not have liked to sigChristian Burgess, Luke Williams or Matty Dolan again on loan or preferably permanently?
It wasn't any of Boro's doing that brought Parnaby, Bates or even Colin Cooper to Pools. Those decisions came from our end.
Phil Gilchrist was one of our classiest ever defenders, while Micky Barron and Garry Liddle served us well. Ok, for every Gilchrist there's a Ray Bilcliffe, but that's football.

Well done Bournemouth - it just goes to show that a small club not entirely unlike our own can make it to the big time against all the odds, including Administration. The Borer can absolutely go fcuk themselves - Norwich will go up via the play-offs and it would make my season if the Mackems and Mags somehow both contrived to secure relegation from the Prem. None of those north of the town give a stuff about Pools - except Joe Allon. Shearer and the Geordie media took the piss when Spartans knocked us out of the MMouse Cup this season whilst many of the Mackems will never forget the 'stigma' of us beating them in the Freight Rover back in the 80's.

Personally, I like to see local teams do well. From a pitch perspective getting youngsters from a premiership team can't be a bad thing...

Great performance from Bournemouth tonight, really impressed me. Hope king Ronnie gets us playing lovely attacking football like them and hopefully push on next year. Well done to them, think they can do decent in the prem with Eddie Howe at the helm.

What's good about it...? You sound like those dim prople whose neighbour has just won £100 million on the lottery and tell the press you're made up for them as you set off for the food bank..... the north east myth is just that, a myth.

Oh and we'll done Bournemouth by the way, similar to Swansea survived relegation on the last day nearly dropped into the conference. Anythings possible with the right structure in place.

I only noticed today Bournemouth named a stadium after Fletcher after his goal kept them in the league.

As for Boro, I'm all for keeping decent ties with them if we can get a few decent players out of them in the future. Think they will get beat in the playoffs, though. Can see Wolves going up if they manage to sneak in.
