I hope he is enjoying a drink tonight after our survival...

Without some of his signings we would be long gone.

Yes, have to thank him for bringing in Scott Fenwick as with hopefully a new team built by Ronnie over the summer he could easily be the 20 goal a season man we crave to see us challenging at the top of the league rather than floundering at the bottom.

Well Harrison apart I thought our 2 best players on the pitch yesterday were Fenwick and Featherstone so it's fair to say Paul Murray can spot a player. I hope he gets another break somewhere at some point in better circumstances

Was over the moon when Moore was appointed but Murray's treatment was crap.

Anyone who criticises him is clueless. His signings have proved he knew what he was doing but the guys he inherited were gutless. Colin cooper was the man out of his depth, his signings wete shocking and hignett carried him FACT.

What league game did he win? Thought he only won against that team in the fa cup. I haven't check though apologies if I'm mistake

Yes featherstone and fenwick have come good but he did bring in some flops too. Lanzoni, Campbell, schmeltz. And featherstone was slated until recently, it's Ronnie who's got the best from him

Agree that he made some good signings, but it takes more than a good eye for players to be a good manager. He'd make a cracking chief scout, but he's obviously got a taste for management now.

Things might also have different had he been able to bring in the player he had lined up in fairness.

what player?

i just remember a massive improvement in performances when ronnie came in, even though he drew and lost a couple of his first few games, we played much better. cant remember that when murray came in. i understand what youre saying, 5 games isnt very long to prove yourself. but when we lost against blyth he had to go

dont think the open transfer market made any difference, its not like ronnie was paying fees for players. both were able to bring in free agents or loans

Didn't Zoko go to Bradford in League 1? When you look at it, both Moore and Murray only brought in loanees and those from non-league in the case of Murray, with the exception of Harrison second time around. I feel for Paul Murray, he wasn't ever the right man for the job and I agree that comes from the top, however to say we should have kept with him for a longer period of time I disagree with. Still hats off to him for finding a coupe, of influential players towards the end of this season. What's done this season is done and whilst cautious, I am a) hopeful of a better season next year b) certainly enjoying the relief of avoiding the drop.

Murray was out of his depth big time. Yes things were not ideal but same can be said for Ronnie. Many good players just do not make good managers. I thought then it was a truly shocking appointment. Big shame regardless for the lad.
