From about 2 hours 8 minutes in, you have to put up with Brownlee but RM was on Radio Tees at about 8am this morning.

Good to hear him saying that he will be here next year but extending his contract would certainly be sensible.

Fair point but surely even they could see the point in giving him the standard rolling year contract. Another club wouldn't even have to come up with a great offer to look better than starting a season with a contract that runs out in mid-December.

Give him a 3 year contract, complete control over playing squad and limitless account at Ladbrokes.

Got to be at least a 2 year contract, we can't really overhaul the playing squad as much as we'd like to this summer in my opinion, so he needs time assemble a squad completely his own, he also needs the fans to be patient and not to expect too much next season, mid table with a mid season flirt with the playoffs would be a good season.

Obviously this all depends on who the owners are and what kind of budget (if any) he has to play with, I'm a lot more optimistic of us getting out of this division at the right end than I would have been coming back up from the conference.

If they are to be believed, in December.

If they offer him a rolling contract he won't be there for long, another club will come in for him offer a 2/3 contract and he will be off, can't fault him for that, like any one else he has to look after number one.
