was a very clever move because although he was playing his heart out the ref would no doubt have sent him off leaving us in total shit! Thats what makes the man a sound clever manager who totally understands the game because a lot of managers would have left him on a took a chance.Well done Sir Ronald of Hartlepool clappp clappp clappp

It wasn't really Moores decision. The ref pretty much told the entire ground what would happen.

The great thing was that it allowed everyone to applaud hugill in such a manner. Seriously the bloke must have had goosebumps walking off that pitch to such applause. He will be a great player. A bit of an attitude like fenwick but ability too.

I must be a great manager also, after he got that daft booking in the first ten minutes, I said he was going to get sent off after a few more daft challenges and we should pull him :ugeek:

All credit to Hugill after the ref give him his final warning. In the short time he was on the pitch he closed their defenders down but kept well clear of putting in a tackle which could have got him sent off

I would be happy with that striker pairing next season. If Preston go up then doubt they would keep him

I'm
Pretty sure Grayson said he was in his plans for next season and the loans were to build fitness. Best we could hope for is Preston to go up and splash out on some good strikers and then send him out on loan again.

Him and Fenwick are both narky little fuckers and would be great seeing them batter and wind the opposition up.

Be great to them up front for us next year. Like the fact they've both come from the Northern league, and doing well for Pools

Hughill got a quality elbow in on a defender's back in the second half as he was shepherding the ball out, perfectly executed so that the ref and lino wouldn't see it. Credit to the Exeterer for not going to ground too.

As said above Fenwick and hugill have both played northern league, which makes you wonder how many more could step up
