It won't happen of course, but Jordan Hughill, both he and Fenwick would be prolific in a partnership, as demonstrated yesterday.

I think we may have a chance of Hugill if Preston go up. Now that may not be on a permanent deal but possibly a season long loan. Didn't they also loan Fewster from the Boro towards the end, so think that means Grayson thought he wasn't quite ready for league 1. Even though he did sign him.

Grayson says he he really rates hugill very highly and has a great future ahead of him at Preston so a loan deal at best hugill in an interview radio tees said he wants to go back to Preston to fight for place next season

I'd love to see hugill here next season. Wins pretty much everything. The exact type of player you need if your going to challenge for promotion.

Bingham for me, Hugill would be my last choice... don't like him as a player (although I'm hugely appreciative of his goals, yesterday especially)

In agreement dizzle, he would probably get sent off several times, he doesn`t need to shove people in the back all the time, remnants of his non league days!

Bingham doesn't seem to fit in at Mansfield.I think he'd be the best option.
We haven't much chance of getting Hughill & Bird was nothing special.

I never saw Bingham but seems as those he's rated highly at Pools and not at Mansfield. Perfect opportunity there as I bet he'd love to go somewhere for regular starts and with fans he is already popular with.

I thought Bingham was great. We played a more attacking formation with him in the team.

They've come in and done a good job for us. It's amazing what happens when you look beyond the Boro for loanees!

Bird and Hugill are similar type of target men, Hugill has the most potential to get better. Bingham is a better footballer than both.

looking at the players hes brought in (bird, morgan, hugill), ronnie is obviously keen on having at least one decent target man in the squad. with marlon unlikely to be around next season hes definitely going to be looking for a big lad. obviously bird not a favourite with cambridge, could easily see him coming back

I would actually be happy with any of the 3 like. But rate hugill slightly more than the others I think he will have a great career. He's a nuisance for defenders in the air.

Bingham ticks the boxes for me, think he could be a handful for any defence in league two if he was given a constant run in the team

in reality we want another 2 strikers for next season as Marlon's probably going to go, would love to see us sign both Bingham and Hugill.

Hugill looked really good with fenwick up top and they both seemed to work hard for the team.. Could be a very good partnership if we got him.. I think it all depends on the money made available and if Preston achieve promotion.

Bird played a bit when he went back to Cambridge and has scored a few so I don't know if they'll change there mind with him.

Bingham played with a lot of energy here without looking like scoring although he has when he has gone back. I remember him making an amazing run taking on 5 players and then shooting 10 yards high and wide. I think he'd be worth a punt though with someone like Ronnie mentoring him.

Hugill was saying he is well liked at Preston and fancies his chances next season. I still personally like Bird though as a target man who could actually score plenty which is something we've not seen for a long time.

Realize this pole is hypothetical?

Reading various other posts some people seem to be forgetting Ronnie Moore will have a lot more names on his wanted list who will now consider coming to Hartlepool, now we are in an entirely different position.

Not to say he may still fancy bringing 1 or 2 back.

Hopefully Ken will loosen the purse strings.

We don't need to pay big transfer fees but better wages is important to encourage players to the area.

We use to do this when IOR first took over and Chris Turner was here, so why not now, especially having had the experience of this season.

Having said that I don't think any other manager has had the backing that Turner had?

Its funny how we can all watch the same players but have very different opinions. I would prefer hugill, closely followed by Bingham as a close second. I was unimpressed with bird tbh. He was terrible in the air, he used to jump and miss the ball.
