I can see Sir Ronnie getting snapped up despite no one wanting to touch him after the betting nonsense confised

Fingers crossed he'll fancy a stab at promotion next year

Hopefully that atmosphere today and fans singing his name will persuade him to stay on and take us towards league 1. He really has performed a miracle with us.

He needs to have a new long term contract waiting on his desk Monday morning.

Yes, but of course he won't. IOR want out and there's lots of stuff to happen first. I can see Sir Ronnie at Rotherham next season. Two thirds of the first team squad will be gone through choice or otherwise. Today was wonderful but the gods did smile on us. Fenwick and Harrison Franks Hugill and Flinders were magnificent. Bates can't really play the game and is scared of the ball. Austin not what he was. Tshibola one strange player.

oh no Compton is leaving . what will we do now without a half hearted player who plays one decent game in a blue moon but is a world beater in his own head. Barcelona will be calling him asap.

I'd like to thank Compton for all his commitment to the cause and wish him the best at Port Talbot/ Barry town or whatever other shitty Welsh club he ends up at.

Ronnie seemed to suggest he'd be here next season in his interview on BBC Radio Tees after the game,

Working in the bar behind the Mill House hopefully, they're always short staffed.

I don't think any Pools manager under IOR have ever had a long term contract, it's normally a rolling over one, month by month. IOR don't want to be caught out by having to pay compensation after sacking them.

I think Compton has had a personal issue going on that has affected his game. Anyone who has gone through something negative in their personal life will have their job performances affected weather your a footballer or a factory worker. How many of you would move a 6 hour drive away from your kid and never complain and be happy. Give the guy a break for missing his kid

I think Compton has had a personal issue at every club he's been at.

If this was all down to his partner being in Wales maybe he should have found a new WAG who was willing to move to where he was playing football.

I believe the mother of his child and him aren't together so it's not like she was gonna move with him. Like I said how many of the haters on here would be happy if they were in the same position as him

Compton has got to be one of the most frustrating players I've ever seen, he clearly has bags of talent but no professionalism. Most fans of his prior teams said exactly the same thing (before his child was born), so I don't buy into his lacklustre pools career being solely due to personal problems.

I accept my second paragraph was out of line and if he is separated from his partner and child I'm sorry for him.

Thank fuck he's gone. Was nearly sick reading all the good luck messages on Twitter. His attitude was appalling and he didn't want to be here. We need players who understand what it means to wear the shirt not wankers who whinge and moan about missing home. Handful of good games but a shitload of bad ones.

Won't be missed

Spot on Birthmark. People have short memories, it wasn't that long ago he was being a dick on Twitter.

No-one held a gun to his head and made him sign for Pools.
