You know what annoyed me lately why do they have toilet doors without coat hooks? Where is your coat ment to go?

That annoys me as well and tbh squatting hurts my knees God knows how the old fellas go for a crap.

Remember going into a department store in Bonn and discovering the unisex toilets... a sort of communal waiting area with five cubicles and some fussy old frau who led you to your cubicle as it was vacated and wiped the seat down with a sterile wipe after which you tipped her, it did't go smoothly. I was the only bloke there and wanted the earth to swallow me up.
I had this awful feeling I was on a wind up .

Who takes their coat off to have a shit like??

Me I thought everyone did what if you have a long coat on?

I remember stopping at a services on school trip in France, unisex toilets with mixed urinals and cubicles. Never seen so many grown lads queuing to use the cubicles when all the urinals were free.

To be fair every coat is a long coat for you.

In my opinion Italian lavvies are the worlds best (but I haven't been to Japan, apparently the Holy Grail in toilet technology). As recently as 2005 I went to a bog in a car park in Bergamo that was still the hole in ground variety, it was spotlessly clean however. In contrast, in a restaurant in Verona the tiles were lapis lazuli, the doors were bronze and Sergio Mendes tinkled soothingly in the background - sanitary heaven!
