The perceived John Hughes turnaround was 33 points in 29 games, 1.14 points per game with a 26% win rate.

Ronnie Moore has 21 from 17 games, 1.24 points per game with a 35% win rate.

Mind that has to improve further for us to do it but so far we have 'improved' more under Moore.

As I say though those stats need to be way more favourable by May for us to do it but I think the Hughes situation is viewed with rose tinted specs slightly because of the appalling way he was treat.

Hughes was a good manager & always done decent in Scotland but faced similar problems at Hibs re finances which led to his departure eventually. Seems to be doing ok at Inverness this season.

Moore is a decent manager at this level and if backed properly could have us significantly improved next season. Can't argue about Harewood, let him sit there unless we really need him to start!

In theory 45-47 points could be enough to stay up, seeing as though there's a couple more been pulled into the fray tonight. Without getting our hopes up too much, these two away wins are massive, because even if we only come away with a point at home to Mansfield, Cambridge is a winnable game, as are the home games against accrington and Exeter. There's a potential 10 points. I also reckon we can do York away from home finally which'll bring us up to 46 points. If we pick up
A couple of draws other than that we should be fine, but this is obviously a massive if, and depends on us winning our home games.

4 points out of the next 6 would certainly keep the pressure right on the other teams

On John Hughes - he inherited a team on about 8 points from 16 games in a decent league so I don't think it was just a perceived turnaround it was a significant improvement. At the time we were also shipping goals for fun as well.

Ronnie Moore is also doing a good job. Just 16 more points should keep us in the football league.

Who would of thought three month ago we would even reach 30 points now relegation form and one point a game would get us to 42 points

Crucial that we do not revert to type and blow the home games... If we don't it's on!

It's essential Ronnie sticks with the 3-5-2 at home and isn't tempted to revert to 4-4-2.

I'm quite happy to watch Pools grind out a win at home - it's not like we've blown any teams away this season playing with 2 up top and 2 out wide.

Not conceding daft goals - now that's refreshing!

We're a point ahead of where we were in 2013 after 37 games. And we were up to third bottom then, 4 points behind guess who.
But our purple patch had already fizzled out and things only got worse with one point out of the next 15.
It mustn't happen again and I don't think it will. Whether it's enough, only time will tell.
