Some interesting quotes from dimi saying he was training with pools 19 months ago when he left greece.
Said he would of probably signed for pools had they offered him something and that we wouldnt be bottom of the league if he was in goal.
Looks like ior,s greediness to offer him a contract has turned him into a premier league player.A very lucky escape for dimi!

And! he is probably right, we wouldn,t be bottom, this is by far Flinders worst season playing for us, not that the others are much better.

He conceded the least amount of goals in that league so guessing he allowed one mistake.

Probably best keeper I've seen at Pools...even during his time here he was maturing and improving season on season.

Pleased for him to break into the Premiership next season. Seems like a very likeable bloke off the field too.

Just found out what he's on and it's safe to say we had absolutely no chance of competing with that!

Get off his case man, he's just kept two clean sheets.

Yeah but don't forget he started there on a short term contract essentially as third choice keeper. At that point nobody would have expected him to play first team football, in fact I think when it looked like he might have to they brought Given in on loan.

When he got his new contract in the Summer he had moved up to First Choice so will have been royally rewarded.

he signed his new contract in last 2 weeks

Heard from a very good sauce Dimi was on £800 a week as third choice keeper suspect he's on significantly more now

I like the fact that pools helped get him to where he is now. But yeah he's clearly worked his way up at boro and deserves to be well paid if he helps get them up.

I can't actually believe how old he is as well. He'll be 37 at the end of his contract! Maybe we'll pick him up when he's 40

Think 40 would be too soon for him. It's about the right age for strikers but far too soon for keepers.
