There is a really good article on that "Secret Footballers" blog about the internal issues and culture at Sunderland. Might have been a link on here to it a couple of weeks ago.

Something is inherently wrong at that club, makes you wonder whether di Canio was really that mental for trying to make the changes he did.

I hope they go down, Di Canio seemed to be trying to fix what was rotten, the players spat their dummies out and he was sacked.

Maybe the directors should have a look at themselves in trying to find out what went wrong.

There's talk of Pools and Sunderland merging and becoming Durham County. A new stadium to be built at Peterlee.

Imagine that! Not sure what part is worse, merging football clubs, naming it after a county we're not part of or playing in Peterlee. A place that is a damn sight less appealing than Hartlepool.
Thankfully as likely as Tino Asprilla signing for Darlo.

Sunderland aren't in County Durham either. I'm not quite sure Mr Derwent was being serious mind!

They wont go down, as bottom 3 much worse. Sunderland will pull a result out of the bag, probably v Newcastle, dunno if Poyet will be there to see it though, looks like he has lost the dressing room, nailed on to finish 4th off bottom imo

Adam Johnsons suspension been lifted and can play in sunderlands next game.
Almost certainly wouldnt of happened if they where in mid table instead of a relegation battle.
A brave decision by sunderland but need his goals to stay up!
