Right for all of you flinders defenders (which is more than he does), here are his stats from the past 5 seasons:

2010/2011 - 40 Goals conceded in 26 Games (1.54 goals per game)
2011/2012 - 55 Goals conceded in 45 Games (1.22 goals per game)
2012/2013 - 67 Goals conceded in 46 Games (1.46 goals per game)
2013/2014 - 48 Goals conceded in 43 Games (1.1 goals per game)
2014/2015 - 57 Goals conceded in 35 Games (1.63 goals per game) - TO DATE.

So from that we need to score at least two goals to be in with a chance of winning.

Ok, I buy that some goals are of no fault of Scott, but with that ratio how is any defender meant to be filled with confidence in their CAPTAIN???

Surely the main inference from these stats is how much worse Pools are defensively this season compared with last?

The offensive record is equally bad - 25 goals in 35 league games compared with 50 in 46.

Pools have gone from being an average team last season to a really bad one this. But carry on blaming Flinders.

I did say not all goals were all his fault. But the majority will end up having a factor of the players in front of him not having confidence in him. That in turn leads to them making mistakes. If you have a keeper that you can rely on, you play with confidence.

Unfortunately, these figures show that we will leak more than one goal a game. Coming from a captain, it's not acceptable.

We very rarely concede a goal that isn't a personal error, we don't stop crosses and we cant defend crosses.

Flinders could have done better with Saturdays goal but to the people who say it was his fault are needlessly trying to pin the blame. Franks should have done a better ball in the box, a better challenge on the keeper, players didn't track back quick enough, three players could of taken down the runner and then Austin turned the wrong way. That's a hell of a lot of mistakes before you even get to Flinders.

Flinders is playing a lot better since Pears went off the scene and its the first part error he has made which has cost us a goal since Pears went. I doubt there's many other players who haven't made a costly error in that time

Theres no point blameing individuals when the vast majority of the squad is shite.
But thats what happens when you get a chairman and ceo doing a costcutting retaned list.

Ronnies contract is up in may so i dont think it will be a surprise if they do it again then give the managers job to Sam Collins!

2 minutes to go - desperate for a home victory- corner to us in the town end - bad enough 2 defenders marking 1 forward - where was Flinders?
Yup taking a sip of water stood on his own goal line
Can't defend that!
Plus they ended up scoring from said corner!

I'd be more interested in comparing the number of shots he is facing rather than goals conceded.

With the current defence, you could put Iker Casillas in goal and he'd struggle.

The whole team is shite - and the blame for our predicament lies squarely at the feet of Ken and Russ - so stop trying to switch the blame and start telling it like it is.

He looks a shadow of the keeper he was a few seasons back, I could have saved that one on Saturday.

A lot of it will be down to having an ever changing defence in front of him, I suspect some of it is down to him being guaranteed his place regardless of what happens. Look at the time Rafferty came in, played well, then got dropped as soon as Flinders was back.

Remarkably there was a time when more than a few on here said he was a better keeper than Dimi !

cant disagree with any of that, especially the last bit bbolt

I find that hard to believe a contract finishing halfway through a season.
Ronnies stated on his first poolsworld interview hes here till end of this season.

Anyone watched the Gopro of him in Training? The lads confidence isn't the best yet who does he turn to for advice now when it seems he's also taken his own training sessions. Since Woods & Collett have gone he's never been the same Keeper. Surely in the summer a Keeper coach will be brought back in. Has Provett even sacked it off know?
