Some good days here, some that I would do anything to have back. The slow demise of our football club is worrying and I'm glad the supporters trust has been set up sooner rather than later so we can get our Club back on track to the days in the video. If we go down, it's a new start and a clean slate. Hopefully the supporters trust will be a lot more advanced by August and we can help our football club next season, for some people like myself, Pools is my life and I'd have such a boring life without them. Sad? Maybe, but it's what keeps me ticking over! I'll be there next season, regardless of the league we're in. I'm well on board and backing the supporters trust, I was at the meeting on Saturday and I'll go to future meetings.

What a team we had that season, every player looked like they gave a shit. Even IOR gave a shit back then as well. Can't believe its been 10 years, it's sad to see how we have declined and on the brink of Conference football.

Minutes away from the Championship, Joe. Now matches away from the Conference. 2004/05 was my first season as a Pools fan, first game was at home to Chesterfield. Won 3-2, Antony Sweeney scored a hat-trick.

Coincidently it was also my first season, couldn't have picked a better season to start with.

It's depressing and enjoyable in the same measure.

Just look at the playing surface which says everything about current level of investment compared to then that's before you even get to the team.

Probably a long shot but going to Carlisle on the final day of the season in shirts and gear from that season would be ironic and sentimental. Unless we're 2 points off and Scott Flinders pulls off a Jimmy Glass to relegate Carlisle. Wishful thinking.

look at the tempo we played at back then, fast attacking football with plenty of runners into the box. the town end packed, sad to see what we have become.

boydy best player ive ever seen in a pools shirt and ive been going since 1980, unbelievable.

Nearly brought a tear to my eye watching that!
Some of those goals were pure class. The team had such a good understanding amongst each other. They knew exactly what they were doing all the time.
Also, there's some highly rated teams in that video who we managed to beat.
Fair play to them for getting were they are, proof that if you have owners who will back you, you'll go places.
We could have been up the top half of the Championship by now. If only sadx

Those were the days when I went to the match and expected nothing else than a win anything less left me dissapointed, now I expect to get beat and even struggle to score a goal. :(

And to think most of them will be together again under one roof 10 weeks tomorrow. There are still a few tables left if anyone wants to attend. £20 a ticket or a table of ten for £200. All proceeds will be going to the Hartlepool and District Hospice. Saturday 16th May @ the Borough Hall. PM either myself or ElvisC, or phone 07760886715 or 07896779471.

There will also be a "Hartlepool United Legends" table there on the evening

Some great goals in there. I think thats as good as it will get for us. Once we go down I cant see us coming back up for a long time, if we ever do.

Nice to relive the memories of good times since the dizzy heights of 91/2 and beating Palace in the cup. At the same time, depressing that 10 years on we face non league football :(

Going to watch Hugh the hammer tonight. Don't know if he'll be playing as he's player manager. Wish we had his left peg in the team at the minute.
