AZ Alkmaar will be coming to Pools on 1st August for a pre-season friendly, then playing at Boro on the 4th August, says the AZ offical site!
Not a bad fixture, if Pools price is right.
Uncle Ken, forget about 18.00 quid ahead please. A tenner max for adults.

Great side Az, they knocked the Geordies out of the UEFA Cup last season destroying them in the second leg 2-0.

Just checked they came 3rd in the Dutch league last year only three points behind PSV, and Ajax

Seriously good opposition.

Yeah, we could get spanked. Shades of the CSKA Moscow game - remember that one?

Foul night 6-1 defeat, and the PA announcer struggling like hell with the Russian goal scorers in the end after a couple of efforts at the scorer of the 6th's name he just said "The scorer for Moscow is....... number 10!!"
