I know he's divided opinion on here, but I hope that he plays tomorrow and he's shown up for what he is.

I have never wanted a Pools player to be struck by lightning on the pitch as much as him during the 6-1 defeat at Chesterfield. Not for the lightning to kill him, just take him out out of the game for a few konths.

You know he'll play better than Pele tomorrow though.

For the record, I didn't mind him at all.

He'll either have a blinder (which still wouldn't hurt us it would a blinder playing 5 yards in front of the centre backs) or score an own goal, give away a penalty then get sent off.

Fair game to Simon Walton, he often gave his all for pools but think fans were quite underwhelmed given his alleged pedigree. Don't mind if he has a decent game as long as Pools win.

If we had Walton and monkhouse we would have more points this season. Don't see why Walton gets grief when you look at what tommy miller has contributed in his place.

Tish and Woods have slightly more pace and drive

The best thing Walton did in a Pools shirt was get himself sent off against Morecambe. I know he put in some good performances at times, but if he had stayed on the pitch I don't think we'd have won.

We've had worse players, we've had better players. He'd had good games and he had proper shockers. I'd be surprised if he was the main reason we if we lose today even if he has a decent game. Give him time and he can pick a good pass close him down quickly and he will fall on his arse and you can run at the defence. We learnt that much about him in 2 seasons. So hopefully Woods & Tish will be on to him regularly to force him into the mistakes he can make.

The signing hype that Neale Cooper sold us was "Walton is the new Tinkler". I never saw much of Walton but I think it's a fair guess he didn't quite reach the heights of Tinklerdom.

Tinkler was outstanding tbf so was always going to be difficult comparing him.

Like most have said, I wasn't bothered either way when released as presumed he was on decent wages but do think he was a decent player. Not very versatile mind as could only really play as the holding playing in midfield 3.

Ironic that we would probably play him there in that formation as opposed to bates

That was a misheard quote. He actually said he was the new sprinkler - as in he would only appear in fair weather and then spray it randomly around the width of the pitch.

Thought Walton played well today. He was a decent player when John Hughes was managing the team and I'm sure he would have done well under Moore. We could have done with Matty Bates in front on the back 4 today. Collectively the team performance (especially the back 4 and Marlon) was a bit of a shambles.....

There's no point sulking about it though, there's teams like Oxford Mansfield,York and Cheltenham that are also struggling but it's disappointing that we were sloppy....

I liked Waltons attempt to get Tshibola sent off. Went down like a sack of shit, screaming and holding his leg and then got up quick as a flash once he saw the ref didn't even give a foul.

Bellend.

And if ever a footballer were to be judged on his hand clapping ability, Simon Walton would be in high demand. Fooking chancer.

Someone in the Town End shouted something about his fake tan to him. So Walton responded by giving a "3-1" gesture.

Walton has made about 200 apperances many at much higher level than league 2. Woods has had about 5 or 6 decent games in the worst team in the country

Walton also looked a lot slimmer, as did Hartley the other week, yes training at pools is tough

Wes Brow has made over two hundred premiershit appearances and he's as shit, if not shitter at football than Walton. As a matter of fact I'd rather have John boy out of the Waltons in my team, at least he'd bring A bit of gravitas to the situation

Pretty sure this is incorrect off top of my head. He was bought as a youngster from leeds for about 500k. He's been involved in relegation scraps granted but I don't think you can say based on 10 games this season that woods is better.

I'd say he looks better technically but ultimately it looks like first full season as a pro where he is playing regular, and even that wasn't the case early doors.

Walton was better than both of our central midfielders yesterday. That's not to say that when they all end their careers that Waltons overall career will be better.

Making comparisons is bonkers at this stage. The fact that he's getting a game for a team that's far better than us says a lot of how HUFC have been managed on and off the field. Sometimes you need players to do a bit of leading on the pitch even if it does upset a few people...

What are you talking about wes brown has been a solid premier league centre half for over ten years. I'm sure some idiot who goes to pools knows better than the multiple managers that have continuously picked these two players so many times though

Whoa there tiger, I'd like to think that Gus Poyet is a bigger idiot and c.unt then me, it'll be a close call mind you

Wes Brown is shite and I defy anyone else to prove otherwise. Playing loads of games at the top flight is hardly makes you a great or even good player, Carlton Palmer and Robbie Savage both played countless games in the top flight, and both of them were shite, Palmer couldn't lace Brian Honours boots, and he was a C.unt

Savage was a massive part of a Blackburn team that finished in the top 6. Have a look at the centre midfielders finishing in the top 6 this season it can only improve your grasp of football. Then again I suppose they are all shit or not nice people as well. ridiculous to state you can play lots of games in the top flight without being a quality player, it's one of the few objective ways of measuring it.

Savage is cack, Brown is cack, players like these two show exactly why we will never get within touching distance of the WC, they both are /were about 20 years behind Spanish and German players in terms of ability

So who is better Wes Brown or Simon Walton? Where does John O'Shea come into the equation?

How is it racist? That's baffled and offended me if I'm honest. It's a fairly serious accusation and one I want you to quantify.

It's a commonly known fact that black people have a dominant gene which affects their hair and eye colour except int eh cases of albinism.
