Freestone, Chrissy Freestone, he's the greatest striker in our league.

He saved us, from the conference, and he'll go down in history.

(to the tune of The Flintstones)

oh i do so love stats.

mr johnrose scored 16 goals for pools.

see if you can guess how many mr freestone scored for us ?

i will give you a clue....... the answer is 7.

Looking at them on a goals per games basis, Freestone was about 1 in 6, Johnrose 1 in 5, neither of them were even average really.

Dean Emmerson was excellent for us as was his ginger tash

Does my memory serve me right in thinking that he was an earlier version of Willie Boland.

Didn't Johnrose go on to play regulary in Midfield for Burnley??

As has been said we always played Lenny up front, he went on to make a good career for himself playing in the centre of midfield for Burnley and Swansea.

I always thought he was a good player.

In our Masters team for next Sunday! clappp clappp clappp

Anyone know of any more players confirmed yet. I would assume our best players from Last season will be there ie Dalton, Olsson and McKinnon. Maybe the reason Honour signed for a Sunday league team to get a bit of fitness back ready for the Masters

According to this link http://www.mastersfootball.com/northernmasters_2007.htm it is exactly the same squad as last time.

No Scotty for Sunderland I notice...

I see Hignett is playing for Borer too!
He might have been handy for our masters team, Be it he had a 5 minute cameo role for us

Hignett has to go down as one of the most pointless Pools signings ever. What was Danny Boy thinking?
