Stevenage look a decent side to me. 3 points will be hard work.

And that is why Moore says Duckworth can't defend.

Credit to Stevanage they slaughtered us 3-1 was flattery they'd done some homework mobile front two (who were excellent) unlike Tuesday Mirfin and Harrison had few balls just to head clear it was all into channels stretching us. Fair play.

We played with 9 men today cos harewood and Morgan did @uck all and roonie must see we need to play 4 5 1 with fenwick up top and let Woods and Tish play attacking football that is what they are best at

Not today, I don't even think Harrison and Mirfin were as solid as they usually are. No strike power is our problem though, as per. The ball was just coming straight back down the field.

For lads of their size, Harewood and Morgan should be able to hold a ball up! It's a joke!

Morgan did ok. He's not gonna single handedly pull us out of this mess but showed some decent touches and at times wanted the ball. Marlon on the other hand put in perhaps the most inept performance I've seen in a long while. Miles off everything. Woods was busy throughout but had limited runners to pick out and Tish was off. Compton showed sparks in first half then nothing. Franks had the beating of his man a couple of times early on but just didn't seem to wanna work hard to get into the game when it stopped going his way. Still missing that midfield boss totake hold of game. A Tinkler or Widdrington type. Anyway bottom line we weren't good enough today. Could've been 4 nil down at half time. I think today was make or break for us.. and we didn't turn up!!

We bottom of the league for a reason. We aren't going to suddenly turn into world beaters and need runs like we had coupled with other teams going on horrendous runs, which doesn't seem to be happening apart from Cheltenham.

Harrison got bullied and was poor today but he's a young lad and learning. We just aren't clever enough like that Stevange side. The naiveity we show is ridiculous when people are being fouled they never make the most of it and as such never get soft free kicks when in danger

That was pants today! The players all new what was at stake a good performance and we were right back in it but too many didn,t turn up. Franks and Austin should not even get another game, get Jones back in and hope Fenwick is fit for Bury. ARGGHH!!! :angry-screaming: :angry-screaming: :angry-screaming: :angry-screaming: :angry-screaming: :angry-screaming: :angry-screaming: :angry-screaming:

Our new tactics are to be bigger than the other team. Today we were out bigged by them, we just have to hope that we play some smaller teams this season.

First time post here but have followed the bunker for a while so expecting my welcome.....

Today every player had a shocker and do not justify receiving there wages this week. Considering this was the same team that comfortably beaten Northampton on Tuesday there is no excuse for this shambles today. It's a shame considering we have won the last 3 home games and looked strong but today we reverted back to how we played under Colin cooper.

There are 3 players who for me had really bad games today and they have had awful seasons in general: Austin franks and harewood.

Austin was at fault for goal number 2 today and all season looks like a liability at left back; he consistently backs off won't tackle and can't pass a ball

Franks has his moments but his first touch normally is a 10 yard pass to the opposition and when he gets the ball he gets his head down and charges to the corner flag

Harewood the less said the better, I don't know how he managed to make a career out of football because he simply offers nothing to the team.

Easily, was very impressed by them to be honest. Could easily have been 6.

Gifting them a goal 2 minutes after equalizing really did knock the stuffing out of us

We made a bright enough start I think first 20 minutes then some very sloppy defending has cost us the game. They could have probably had 1 or 2 more goals to be honest. A win at Bury is now a must I think. A positives out the game is Fenwick getting on the scoresheet again.

Smallest Stevanage team I've seen the front two were quick and mobile for a start we were outnumbered in midfield and static up front, they played any football that was played. I thought only Woods and Harrison had decent games for us and Harrison was second best to his marker he just kept going.

Thought Harrison struggled massively today along with pretty much full defence.

All 3 goals hugely avoidable though. First was terribly misjudged by duckworth. 2nd was bad clearance by austin but a free header which is shocking, and 3rd. Not one player got into space to offer themselves to austin. Morgan was piss weak when came up to him and defence too square and easily beaten in behind.

Beaten by side no doubt but they were assisted well by us. Fenwick is such a big player, only player I think is a consistent goal scorer
