the mother in law has just ordered one of those bt vision things does similar stuff to sky + but im not sure what channels you get confised

I haven't got one but my mate who has said they went off on Thursday/Friday and he's still waiting for them to be sorted out. I think the only box to be still working is the German cable boxes D Box.

Yeah, apparently you get all the channels you get with the full NTL package, footy, porn the lot but i've just been told, with Richard Branson buying into NTL he is changing the way they do it so its probably not worth buying one, better just having an old NTL boxed chipped for £30 and seeing how long that lasts.

What happens is your digibox stores all the information about what you watch,instead of Sky sending the signal through the phoneline the battery does it,but the box still stores the information.
Sooner or later you will reach a credit limit & wont be able to receive anything more,now you will be required to plug in your phone cable & Sky will then receive all the info on what you have watched & bill you for it.

i think they are ok but the porn is not exactly porn it is soft porn so not worth buying just for that

I held off trying it until after the Lewis v Tyson just in case anything went wrong & by then I had been told how it worked so didnt use it.
