does anyone know how to install the drivers for the printer and scanner for the Epson XP-323 model?

Basically windows 7 - 64 bit operating system cannot locate the drivers, also the CD that came with it crashes at exactly the same point every time I have a go at installing

I have physically downloaded and run the drivers directly from the Epson web site... the installation crashes at exactly the same point after it installs the Fax driver.....subsequently the printer and scanner functions of the printer still do not get installed !!!

Apparently this is a problem with Microsoft's update to the Windows 7 - 64 bit operating system, but I can't find any recommendations on the internet forums for this (as I normally do to sort out most PC problems I have)

I am really stumped... and looks like I've just wasted 59 quid

Have you tried running the install program in compatibility mode?

Dont run the installer, double click the executable that you downloaded and make a note of were its extracting the files too. Usually a temporary location. When its extracted cancel out of the installer and plug in the printer. Obviously it wont find the drivers. Now go into device manager you will see your printer with a red x or yellow exclamation point. Right click on it choose update driver then choose the location it extracted the files to previously windows should do the rest.
Failing that throw it in the garbage cause its and epson and it will screw up before to long anyways.

There both designed with throw away in mind. Personally i'm more likely to trust the dell to last longer. Its still a lottery though. Check the specs together side by side, if the prices are the same go with the dell.

Didn't want pay more than 250- ish and the Dell seems to be ok in that price range.
Biggest selling computers on Amazon this year are chromebooks.
