Looks like he's going to York on loan, hopefully he's gone back before we play them cause you know he'll score.

York will end up well clear of danger, they have made the effort and got people in

York will finish well clear, they have a knack of finding form.

I called this a couple of weeks ago, had a feeling he'd end up back in this division on loan in January. I wonder if we tried?

What a sickener. He will score a boat load. Plenty humble pie to eat though dropping down again a division within three months.

He s played the last 2 games for the posh . Fergie said in his interview yesterday that he was outstanding against Doncaster . Yes and contrary to what has been said about him on here he will always have a special tie with Pools and be grateful . He never disrespected pools or went on strike as IOR stated but he was not allowed to put his side to the press .

To be honest I don't understand the anti feelings towards the lad. I do certainly believe that promises by IOR were broken and he was lied to, I'm certainly more included to believe him that Ken Hodcroft et al. I'd be pissed off at my employers for that too in his shoes.

Be grateful in what way, wasn't it pools who give Luke the opportunity to ply his trade, he wasn't here long enough or turned over any stones for me to be grateful.

Read it again! the sentence was "he will always have a special tie with Pools and be grateful "

It's saying that Luke James will always be grateful not that you should be!

So are you saying the club should have just bent over and let Posh tap up the player and decide the transfer fee?

What exactly are these lies you talk about?
The player was contracted to Hartlepool United.

Nah I'm not going to bother.
But I will say Posh did not match the clubs valuation for the player but their twat of a chairman managed to force the deal.

Can't see him going anywhere on loan, as already he started their last two games (still can't hit a barn door for them like)

Grateful for giving him a chance, grateful handing him his first pro contract. Is it really so hard to understand?

Cracking player, one of the very best to come through the ranks here. I wish him well in his career, except when he's playing for a rival club in our division.

Ahmen, and that is all thats needed to be said.

My apologies I misread the original post, I first understood the post that we should be grateful.

The fact he signed the contract suggested he was happy to stay and do well for the club, which is borne out by the fact he gave a very positive interview to the Mail pre season. The manager himself commented on the fact the lad had continued training when others were on holiday getting pissed up, and had come back in fantastic shape.

He does that and then finds the club has brought in worse players than those that were released, the squad is tiny, morale is low, and theres a revolving door of loan players. He tries hard but understandably his own form dips because he's playing in a bad, losing side, where the line up changes week to week.

He then hears a bid has been made by another club, but the club denies this, and the manager even tells the local paper there has been no bid. That was the straw that broke the camels back I guess. You can either believe Compo off here who has always been right in matters relating to Peterboro that there was a bid, or you can believe IOR. Thats your prerogative.

All I will say is that Luke James issues were with Hodcroft and IOR, they were not with the fans. If anything the fans and James were on the same side throughout, wanting investment or answers from IOR and getting nothing.

All very nice but he was contracted to and received wages from Hartlepool United who had every right to try hold out for the best deal possible.
James going on strike made it easy for Peterbrough to dictate the terms of the deal.
