If we don't win then we are relegated imo. 1.0

Howay Gibbo man. No need to be so negative and melodramatic  We could lose tomorrow and still stay up. Granted, I would prefer that we did win tomoz and therefore make the New Year run in slightly less stressful. Keep the faith Poolie chums.

Sorry I don't think I'm being so negative there. I really think tomorrow's game is a must win game. We are leaving ourselves a mountain to climb

0-3. What Gibson said.

Tomorrow's a massive ask after a day's rest. Not feeling hopeful.

It won't be so much climbing the mountain as doing it without a map and compass and without any clothes on if Pools lose tomorrow

Anything other than a win would have me thinking the rest of the season is actually a waste of time, other than building a team capable of competing in the conference

At what point do you stop saying there's plenty of time to get wins? Pools have not won a game for months. Not weeks.... months!!!

There is no time left. If the team doesn't win a single game for months and we are only gonna sign 4 players, when exactly is the winning run gonna come?

It is shit or bust now, no win tomorrow will be too much to claw back

So basically it's the apocalypse tomorrow! Not entirely sure it's that black and white but it is important to get that win, if for no other reason that it proves this team under this leadership is capable of doing such a thing. It's all about belief and January signings for me.

Plenty of time can see a few in this league going 10 games without a win and getting dragged in

It is not about other teams. Pools cannot win one single game!! That has to change tomorrow, as like it or not, any team put out by Moore for the rest of the season will consist largely of these players. Imagine the pressure the new blokes will be under as the saviours, the only ones who can cause a win for Pools!! Football is not like that...at some point this bunch has to produce a win , with the new players coming in to add to a team that can actually win a game of football!! Tomorrow is vital on a psychological level for all the players and fans alike. Yes I would say it as an apocalyptic scenario if Pools lost tomorrow

It would drill home to the players that they will never be good enough to win, so that is how important it is

You're right that the team for the rest of the season will mainly comprise this squad but would you really say to them, win this or its all over? If we lose should everyone just knock off for the season? That's pressure! No pressure on any new boys.

Whether it is correct to say it or not, it is a fact though innit? A fact that if they are not aware of it, what the hell are they even doing in the game? They should be feeling the pressure though, why shouldn't they? I would be making them very aware of the situation they have put this club in. The time for kid gloves is over and it is time for them to be men. What do you do if 20 lads are gonna kick fuck out of you and 5 mates? Do you give in and wait until it is even numbers, by which time you have been mashed to a pulp with your hands over your heads, or do you stick together and fight like hell and find out how tough the opponents really are?

Time for these players to face the responsibility and accept it, and play under extreme pressure. If they can't then they should get out now and make room for men who will save this club

I am really looking forward to the game today, which is perverse given the situation we're in. The players need to play like men and the crowd need to be loud, partisan and believe. If that happens, we can win.

A prime example of this is yet again, Jack Compton, tweeting about how he can't wait for the time when he can actually spend this time of the year with his family. Does he seriously think it's what Pools supporters want to read? Look I have a little lad and understand how difficult being away from him at Christmas would be that's fine but FFS keep these thoughts off Twitter. We have people around the World doing proper jobs and dangerous jobs at this time of year away from families. We are bottom of the Football League it is his job to play at this time of the year, stop being so unprofessional get your head down and get on with your job. It's not good sign that we're relying on flaky fanny like 'woe is me' characters like him to keep us in the League. The thing is he doesn't realise that if he doesn't pull his finger out, as he does have talent, and we go down this year he's likely to get to his wish very soon probably as soon next year!!

1-0 Compton 4,775 after a woeful performance.

Today really is the last chance saloon.

Then we need to bring 7 players in January im sure ronnies got the contacts to sort us out.

We got the right manager.
We got the brilliant supporters.
Now we need new players who share the same passion

After seeing Pools' second half performance against Mansfield I'm much more confident about today and the future and it could be a much better looking league table after today. A Pools win, Dag & Red loss to Southend, Northampton stop their slide against Tranmere and any result between Carlisle and York and Pools could be only to wins more wins away from 3rd bottom.

Pools 2 Morecambe 0
4233 (157 away)

What do you mean? Has he tried to leave and get out of his contract with it paid up or something?

And then illness just before Christmas!!

If there is any truth in that it needs to be out in the open. Come on Pools let's in on it. The fans deserve to know if we have a player who has actually said that

Facebook I can just about get away with, but Twitter was clearly invented for idiots.

I'm just gonna judge him on how he plays today, if he plays. Its a sad reflection on how far we have fallen that he's one of the few players we have left occassionally worth watching.

I'm by no means a hater, and said (in the post) he has ability and understand him missing his family at this time of year but he needs to stay off Twitter where he is constantly moaning and feeling sorry for myself. It does him no favours whatsoever.

It is fairly trivial yes, buts been a season and a half of negativity and moaning from him. You'd really think he didn't want to be here. I also think it does transfer onto the pitch as well, how many good games has he had? Do you not think if he was stronger mentally he'd be a better more consistent player? I do.

Fact! I can hold my hands up and say I have never ever been on facebook or twitter and never will, but if he said it Compton should have thought before tweeting (?) it.
Off to the match now, Come on Pooooooooooooools! clappp

What does that matter he wouldn't leave as no one would have him.

Look at his record at other clubs his attitude is clearly in question that is all people are saying.

I wouldn't blame him for looking for another club. He has every right to do that if it doesn't suit his circumstances, but putting information from his personal life most of which he deletes soon after isn't professional and makes him look like a dick. Hence people having a pop at him.

A surprisingly comfortable 2-0 win.

You probably need to approach the predictions for these games as if we were a bottom half conference team playing league two teams. In reality that's not far off what we are.

I know I'm negative but surely to God nobody can be confident of us staying up? We look like a pub team. Amateurish. Only duckworth is league standard. Even with a couple of excellent signings we will still be too poor to string good results together. Even the poorest sides are far better than us. Its never been like that for many years. We could always compete but these clowns can't.

If you want to get a unbiased view, have a look at Blackpool's predicament and make a judgement on their chances of staying up. Our position is very similar.
