Darrell Duffy?
Danny Graham?
Tommy Miller?
Dimitrios Konstantopoulos (to sign his contract)?
Adam Boyd?
Don Hutchinson?
Steve Howard?
Eifion Williams (on a pay as you play basis)?
Steve Harper?
Nicky Southall?
Jon Parkin?

In a nutshell, those are all the "big" signing rumours I've heard off the top of my head. Top to bottom in order as most heard, with Duffy beign the most and Parkin the least. Is it any of those?

Give us clues.

I had a dream last night that we signed a bit player but I can't remember who.

Guy Wittingham?

Give us clues. Answer yes or no to these:

Is he male?
Is he tall?
Is he small?
Has he ever played for a team wearing blue?
Is he an international or ex international?
Does he have black hair?
Is he in his thirties?
Has he played under Danny Wilson before?
Is he a striker?
Is he a midfielder?
Is he a keeper?
Is he a defender?
Is he from the north east?

Guant is latin for something, might be glove.

Can I humbly suggest that possibly seventy per cent of people have a letter 's' in their name, you could have gone spread betting and said an 'e' as well.

There is also an 's' in 'crock of shit.....'

Yeah, well to be honest there's someone on every message board in the country playing this 'my mate knows but he'll get the sack if anyone finds out' game so forgive me if it rings a little hollow.

No-one is sworn to secrecy in a transfer situation if it gets to club level. Christ, you've only got to look through the window!!

Name me the message board poster who named the new goalkeeper before he was unveiled??

No-one that's who. How come your mate didn't come up with that one then?? Y'know your mate who works at the club?? What's his name then??

The 's ' stands for 'someone' ...we're signing 'someone'.... technically correct but bollocks all the same.

Right so now the world and his wife AND all the Bunkerites know that Phil Peverley is leaking the name of a major new signing.

His goose is already cooked so either shit or get off the pot.

Oh and tell him respect to him and his brother Don for the excellent 'Bye Bye Love....'

when we played leeds in the cup in the 70's there was 16500 paid in and about 4500 nicked in.

at one point it was like a scene from the film zulu with the bobbies on the vic side of the fence trying in vain to quell the tide of rampaging invaders coming over from the dog track side.

the bobbies would arrest a handfull but more and more kept coming, so all they could do was grab the odd one coming over the fence, rush him down to the gate, chuck him out and then race back to the fence to try and stop him nicking in again.

i dont know how many was in the town end that night but we were squeezed together so tight it was a job and a half to get your hands out of your pockets to clap.

for all you youngsters who have no idea what i is on about, imagine this. if you get 7000 in the vic now it seems pretty busy. in them days the ground was smaller and they got 20,000 in. god only knows how they managed it.
Till they moved the holding kennels in the dog track over to the Town End... even now I can remember the screams of two lads in the late 70's who made the mistake..... rolfl
