The lad on Saturday for oxford would be a nice signing Hylton. Or take a punt on Damian reeves from altrincham decent record.

He said striker ( someone who scores goals ) not another defender

Wonder if Wyke could score goals in a decent side? probably not imho.

The thread that you're alluding to (not for the first time) was locked for a reason. Are you trying to stir things up again, or is this just a way of getting in puerile little digs in the hopes of not being explicitly accountable?

I reckon he would do ok. He's better than what we have so if possible I'd get him signed...

Anyone else taking a bit of heart from the fact Harrison is training with us as Moore said he wants to have a look at him?

Sounds like Moore has final say?

Yeah, but the deal was done when Murray was here. In fact I think it was done either just before he was appointed or just after.

Moore might think he has the final say, but I bet he doesn't.

Prove how you know chip?

Also danny Hylton is a league 2 striker signed from afc Wimbledon so how the fuck is that unrealistic?

An award winning member of pools staff told me the deal with harrison is done for January 2nd.

He's training with us as its happening and all this "moores checkin him out" is to just make it look like he calls the shots.

Heskey and Harewood, that would be like the Shearer And Sutton SAS combo.

Only it would spell HAH.

There aren't many good strikers about at the moment that we could attract, the non league scene has been raided over the last few years with little left. Even if there were some players worth having I honestly don't think we could attract them, they are probably on as much playing in the conference as we could offer, plus they would have their wages from whatever job they had on top of that, which could be anything between £200 and £1000 a week, so thats around £1500 a week in total. Our only hope is finding someone in the Conference North or somewhere like we did with Duckworth. Again not much going on there at the moment, but if there is we need to be on it, fast.

At the end of the day we now have a manager who clearly knows what is needed (pace, strength, leaders etc) and has said so after being here for a week or so. Cooper was here for over a year, had a full pre season and clearly had no idea or plan on what was needed or even what formation to work around.

Whoever Ronnie identifies is good by me, at least he has an idea what he is going for.
