"But the lads that are here have given their all during training. We’ve had two days of solid 11 v 11s – the first day was fantastic, the second day was rubbish. I guess that’s why we are where we are because of the inconsistencies of one or two of
the players"

I like that bit, saying it how it is.

I liked his comment about the Burton game,'if they played any deeper, they'd have needed a snorkel'.
Classic.

Honesty and openness is the only way of winning the support of the fans back. It is blatantly evident how that has played out for them this week. It's paying huge dividends. Long may the transparency and the sincerity continue.

You could never see Colin Cooper saying that could you? Too busy trotting out platitudes and towing the company line...

Like it as well, the second day was probably down to them been knackered after the first, which is worrying, similar to what Knowles inherited from Moncur, hopefully Ronnie will whip them into shape and weed out those not up to it.

And he was doing so well :( The best managerial prospect in years blows it within a week.

TMH's response will be VERY interesting. More than a few people will see this as back him or sack him.

? How would you get the vast majority of the football public (including a significant portion of their own fans)to not give a shit about the running down of a football club for a quick development sale?

That is a very interesting aspect Mr And. One that they must surely be fully aware of....... and I seriously hope it is not a deliberate ploy as you have inferred

I just don't get this redevelopment ploy, it's been mentioned before but Clarence Road is hardly prime real estate.mIt was a few years back but how much did Morrisons pay for the Dog track?

The only incentive that I can see for anyone investing in lower league teams is for tax offset benefits. The actual owning then simply being an ego trip.
