We should at least be grateful to Ken Hodcroft for the time up to and including Cardiff.

Up to the point that Danny Wilson left IOR did a fantastic job.

I agree we should, however badly it turned out they were genuinely brilliant until that season, even beyond that in the Wilson League 2 season they put some good money in to get us back up.

Concurring. IOR gave me the best times I've known as a Pools fan.
Sadly, they also gave me the worst. But I'll try and remember them for the better periods

Even the way they've left the club, off the field anyway, without a penny of debt must be applauded.

Calling the bloke names now he's gone is a bit childish and pointless. Those who wanted him gone just be grateful he has and let's look to the future.

Thank you IOR and Ken Hodcroft.

Part of me agrees Mr I but the way things have been the last few years have knocked every last ounce of generosity and good will toward IOR out of me.

Good riddance, shouldn't have been trying to fuck us over!

Good times but they were still happy to sit back and watch us fall into non league this season?

Funny thing is, we'll never know why they wanted the ground so much. Where they planning on knocking it down and building houses or did they really want to improve it? Did they just want it to increase the value of the club they sold up?

Concurring. May have got beat, but it was still one of the best days of my life. I thought having a son would beat that feeling when Daly powered that header in, but it didn't come close. For that i will always be eternally grateful.

No money coming in from the top, just debt with money going back the other way. Probably get more in the way of loans etc. if they had owned the ground.

Wouldn't have looked too attractive to other businesses had they admitted they were broke.

So will the Baldwin and James instalments still be coming into to the club then?

Sad, it's like any relationship the key, especially in the bad times is communication, that didn't happen and so the whole relationship fell apart

If they have truly left us with no debt then they deserve our thanks overall, just a shame as a lot of the bad feeling could have been prevented with more pro-active communication

As it a football debt and owed to Hartlepool United Fc, then the answer to that has to be YES.

IOR did a great job until, as someone said, Wilson walked.
I can't agree that since then they've been the worst times ever at Pools. I have seen far worse as have many others. As far as I know, no manager under IOR has had to go round the clubs and pubs with a hat or drive the bus.

But yeah, things have been pretty dismal over the last three seasons.

Congrats to IOR and KH on their excellent timing. I'm not sure they actually planned it that way, but good timing all the same. It can't be that simple to flog a football club in trouble. Thank you and goodbye.

funny owld world.

IOR gave us our best times.

Then left us in the worst state on the field ever.

You cant thank them too much for allowing that to happen.

And would you believe it, a few partly responsible are still there.

IOR where like an old punch drunk boxer who didn't know when to quit. They hung on for one last payday until it was obvious they couldn't get one..

Too liitle, too late and frankly, vomit inducing.

The amount of invective that has been heaped on them, including hopes that people would die is, frankly, disgusting.

Don't get misty eyed now. You got what you asked for.

I mean he's obviously turned over a new leaf on this exciting day with his uninflamitory low key return.

He's just tried to slip back in without anyone even noticing. Stealth like.

IOR did bring some great times, I think their legacy will be more fondly remembered if this season turns around in the way the season turned when they brought in Turner.

You all realise ol course that that Sunday in May 2005 is quite probably as good as it will ever get for Pools.
In 20 years' time, barring disasters, that's what IOR will be remembered for. That and knowing when to call it a day, because it's been clear they've been looking to get shot for a while.

I will shut up when I feel the point has got across.

You are one of the particularly slow ones to catch on, so it may take a while with you.

Obviously the club men are beyond help.

But it is my duty to try.

And i think IOR probably found those six years every bit as long as you did. They stopped militating to buy the ground ages ago, probably after the Mill House Plan fiasco, limiting their discourse to the odd dig at the council. They've been loking for an out for a long time and fair play to them for finally finding one.

Now, the question remains who the fuck are TMH. Yes I know they are brand new but i hope it's not too long before we get to see their CV.
