I'll be in the Centenary lounge if anyone wants to come and say hello. Shame the situation led to so much sniping and name calling. As someone posted we are all Poolies and only want the best for the club - even though my views on how this could best be achieved were not welcomed by most on here.

Of course they weren't Geoff. thats because until the last couple of days you were flying the IOR banner when all around could see that they were leading us into the abyss. The last 48 hours have seen you change horses faster than a circus performer.

Ken Hodcroft et al have been disasterous over the past five years at least but you and your fellow cheerleaders have been howling at the moon saying everything will be alright and that we should support 'the lads'. The lads that have been putting in shameful performances for some considerable time. They want sacking and a takeover doesn't change that. Most on this board are now ecstatic because there is a chink of light. A small possibility that this club can escape relegation. That positivity will improve the atmosphere and hopefully get us through a few weeks until most of them can be given instant dismissal notices.

It's those amongst us who have been calling, in fact demanding for Hodcroft to go and don't understimate the impact. The message boards are the public voices and that is picked up by the media and reported. Pressure has built on Hodcroft to go and he's accepted the offer when otherwise he might not have. I'm not saying that we are solely responsible but we have been the ones exerting the pressure.

Now he's gone and been replaced by someone who is making the right noises and we'll be there. Pre match we'll probably be in the Mill House though. I don't have your capacity for sitting smugly in the Centenary lounge when a week earlier you were telling everyone that IOR were the guys to see this through.

The worst thing here is:

The club men, will still be the club men, even with new owners.

Dont know how they have the nerve.

People who echo the 'Lord Haw Haw' nature of Pools under IOR and are on KH's payroll in terms of free tickets etc. They are an odd species who could never see any wrong in anything IOR as long as they got their bellies tickled regularly.

And now they move onto the new owners seemlessly.

They have no morals whatsoever.

To me and you Pools is a sort of hobby... to the clubman it's a cult.

I have this of Geoffn and Fetish Bob with pointed white hats now, marching up a lonely hill, dragging various members of the bunker up to be burned as witches.

Hmmm so I come in peace and remind everyone that despite all of the differences in opinion we are all still Poolies and yet I continue to be the villain in all of this!

I repeat for those who did not quite understand - I thought IOR were fantastic for the first 10+ years. Took us to heights we had never imagined. For the last 2/3 years I have been increasingly concerned. I have posted on here that if they no longer had any ambition for the club then they should go. I have never been a "fan" of Hodcroft - the lack of communication with fans and the way he ruled as a mini dictator got on my tits just as much as anyone elses.

However, I have continued to support the team (and my God that hasn't been easy this last couple of years).
I did not and do not believe that the approach taken by most on here to get IOR out was the right one. My concern was that they could just walk and leave nothing in place except debt. That would have been in no ones interest.

I will finish by saying that I am delighted Russ Green is staying put. He is totally committed to this club (despite what some might thing). Yes mistakes have been made - some by Russ BUT the person behind all of this has been his employer Hodcroft. I see when Jeff Stelling tried to point out Greens part in the takeover he was not lambasted as I would have been had I said the same thing.

If people want to keep on ridiculing me, abusing me and generally having a laugh at my expense that's fine. I suspect (in fact know) there are many like me, the only difference is that they don't bother posting on here.

I will still be in the Centenary Lounge - and in the Victoria lounge after the game, as usual. If you do want to say hello then fair do's. If not then that is totally up to you.

I am delighted that I.O.R. have gone and K.H. with them. I wish the new owners the very best of luck. I just hope that the solidarity of the supporters doesn't disappear. That is why, on Saturday, I will be in the Corner Flag and I hope that all those fans who have realised the value of a Supporters Association use the C.F. before and after the match. As Lone Star points out, on another thread, we should be prepared for every eventuality and not wait for events to happen. Be Prepared.

If no one has nicked the signal cables, I hope to to get there courtesy of Grand Central/East Coast trains. So, at the moment, there could be 4 of us for a meet up at Mill House on Saturday. (I thought the MH closed around 4 years ago).

You dont agree with how the fans behaved?

Yet most people believe it was the fans that hastened hodcrofs departure.

And certain fans have been applauded for their efforts.
Maybe you would like to applaud them too?

I just hope their efforts to get the guardian to investigate carries on and get the whole sorry bollox exposed.

Because its odd that a £14M DEBT disappeared the day after.

So are you going to thank hose few fans that went that extra distance for this club?

The Millhouse Inn would like a favour of someone: over the past 4 months you may or may not have noticed that the flag i fly outside the pub has started to deteriorate and look a bit shabby, abit like the team, and i was going to leave it till it fell apart completely, like the club . Now however i think after this weeks changes it needs to be revitalised and flown with a little bit of respect again, i cant get down to the club shop during normal hrs, so was wondering if some kind person would see if they have a new one in the shop , purchase it for me push it thro the letter box and i will square up with them on either Fri or Sat . Cheers

Sorry Nobby, just been to the club shop and they don't have any, you will probably need to buy one online from elsewhere unless you take up offshores offer.

I just hope their efforts to get the guardian to investigate carries on and get the whole sorry bollox exposed.

Because its odd that a £14M DEBT disappeared the day after.

So are you going to thank hose few fans that went that extra distance for this club?

Oh this is so tedious yawn1 yawn1

Incidentally, at the first protest when fans had to walk out and go behind the stand for 15 minutes I was one of only 3 people at the town end side of the CK that actually did go behind.
Did you do this Dribble - sorry Drivvel!

I understand that you don't get to Victoria Park much these days. Shame as you seem to have so much to spout on about what is going on there!

That's your opinion and you're welcome to it. Negativity Negativity Negativity.

I suspect he believes his policy of crossing his fingers and writing endless pleading letters to Santa is what did the trick..... and not those pesky fans complaining, getting off their collective arses and forcing the issue....( in his world)

Well all I did was ask him a simple question, without any negativity. It was simply to find out whether Geoff appreciated the efforts of our super fan sleuths that had Hodcroft by the bollocks.

He seems to have difficulty with appreciating just what they did for this football club.

I suspect he still thinks this was all down to his mate.

Well those fans deserve the utmost credit and they should be given that publicly.

The ones who did the business will be forgotten sadly and the fawningmultra loyalists will elbow their way to the front to throw themselves at the feet of the new order ...... as they feign amnesia when the K word is mentioned.
Ken who...? I.O........who...?
