How things change. You wouldn't even know we were playing judging by the lack of posts about the match.

Im not meaning this as a criticism by the way, its just sad how its gone. sadx

the actual football will not be important again until control has been wrestled away from IOR

this.

I used to do it myself

But I can't justify the modern day travel costs and football costs/ food/drink costs etc associated with the day out.... to watch the singly worst bunch of "footballers" to ever be assembled in the name of Hartlepool United FC

Anybody who still goes is like an addict or something - you aren't doing yourself any good really by going. You need to wean yourself off it

If I need a footy fix, I'd prefer to go away - that way you can watch Pools, and at the same time smile as Ken gets fuck all from your hard earned cash...

Pools spoil my weekends. Whether we are at home or away. It must be great not supporting a shit team and being able to just enjoy weekends for what they are... A couple of days off work. (if you are lucky enough to get weekends off)

I stopped going to the aways a good few years ago. Fuck knows how anyone can still get pleasure from it. Must be one of the most depressing ways to spend your day off.

Even the likes of Bob what gets free tickets must be questioning their sanity.

I used to bloody love the aways, the atmosphere in the pub before n the singing in the away end.

I went to rochdale last year for the novelty really as Id just passed my test, but after the performance it had soon wore off.

Today was a great day out for me and the bairn, which incidentally included a footy match. That's how I keep having to explain them to him.

He loves matchdays, but it's all the stuff apart from the match we focus on now, the journey and the pubs and whatnot. The game is completely secondary.

To be fair I had it planned a while as I was meeting with an ex lodger. The match was a low point of an otherwise good weekend. Enjoyed the night in Derby too
