So what are your hopes then? surely this is just a blip. Have you got any decent young lads coming through? any news on the ground purchase? IOR seem to be still looking after you which is good, good having a bright young manager too. Ken has always seen you right, am sure fortunes will change very quickly.

Oh are your pies still really good?

Two things.

You're still stupid and your new team plays in a pub league. And you're a dog noncing Bellend.

Oh hang on, that's three things...

So just three things then.

That's an odd reply to an honest post, almost makes me glad you are worst league team in the country when I was initially sympathetic to all the genuine Hartlepool fans that don't go to games.

Then again the fact a skinny low tax paying twat like you can't even fucking count it's pointless even trying to discuss such matters.

You can hardly blame the Darlo fans for having a pop. First it was the 'we're so rich' days of them having the upper hand then we had out moment in the sun. The situation has turned round a long way from the 'mind the gap' days. It's their turn to gloat.

Nice of you to take an interest in a bigger northern team

but if you bothered to check, your team won today - 1 nil against 9 men

so if you keep playing like that, and we keep undergoing such trauma, we will meet again in about 5/6 years

Bigger northern team, York? but anyway stop the bitterness and address your own teams issues.

What bitterness?

just stated a few facts as you seem more interested in our situation and probably didn't know about your own teams results.

Imagine that Number one ( a very apt name) Darlo fan having a pop about Pools fortunes, it's like a piss stained tramp laughing because your new car is getting wet in the rain.

This is the best response, club goes to the bottom of the league and someone starts editing posts, I liked this approach so much I decided to take a pic and tweet it and now have over 200 retweets and even your Sir Jeff of Stelling has re-tweeted with comment. I thank you, you created a better divide than I could have imagined.

You need to support your club son.

Sadly not, some inbreed editing posts, another who thinks he's cocky balboa with nothing behind him and then one or two deviants throwing some bits and pieces.

I agree with MJ. I took no pleasure whatsoever from the demise of Darlington FC. Their supporters are mirror images of ours. We have everything in common with them except that they actually are in the position of having some input into their club and retain their passion. Thats not something we can say.

But collapse, ruin, extinction, that's not something to mock, especially when you support a club like ours, one that's come within a whisker of oblivion in the past and may well do so again. I always said give me one proper Darlo fan over a thousand plastic mags, mancs or scousers.

Agree with the pair of you. Darlo v Pools is like Celtic v Rangers, Liverpool v Everton, Man Utd v Man City. If one isn't there then it doesn't matter who your closest other opposition are, its never the same. You might dislike us but life isn't the same without us. York City, nice club and good fans but do you look forward to playing them as much as you did against us? And if you struggle to have the same feeling about playing York, then just wait till you play the Heed.

Whilst Darlo's demise was funny in the short term, it's not much of a rivalry if you never play each other. I'd sooner be playing them than not (in the Football League)

The statement isn't made out of arrogance, as you know I'm not a Darlo hater, and like Mad John I get on with most Darlo fans I know and have a lot more time for them than plastic Prem fans.

My comment is based around :

My lifetime not actually being that long a period because I'm really old

No confidence in Darlo climbing much higher up the pyramid as a fans owned club

No confidence in Pools slipping much further down the pyramid

You need to bear in mind Pools are probably still closer to Newcastle in the pyramid than Darlo. We also have a council owned ground on a peppercorn rent, so even if we went fans owned would be competitive at this level or worst case scenario at Conference level.

Personally I would hope we can be sustainable at Conference North level, anything else is a bonus. All you need to worry about is any exit plan IOR have if thats their intention. What you don't want is the £12m being hung round your necks because if the FA are consistent, that could find you in the exact same situation we found ourselves in with the only advantage being the ground being available for you to use.

Thing is Chip, you have to satisfy any creditors with a CVA. IOR could play hardball and say they aren't prepared to lose that £12m so you will need a CVA. No CVA for us meant life in the northern league. As for your crowds, rather than look at a game with a good away following, see how many you get in the JPT to see what your actual current hard core is.

I don't think any club in the league would base their hard core on a JPT attendance.

not quite correct that is it.

They are not suddenly on the up. Its just that pools are heading down to be as bad as them.

I seriously doubt a potential buyer would base their financial planning on the attendance for a Johnstones Paint game so not sure what your point is ? There are 46 League games and anyone taking over would do their maths based on that. We have been garbage for 3-4 years now and there's still 3000+ people turning up game after game after game.

My point was a JPT usually attracts half the normal crowd. If you got around 1000 then it probably shows that around 2000 would consider paying normal pay on the day prices, not the 3000 who have discount season tickets.
Do you honestly think you would have sold 3000 season tickets if you had paid the average going rate for your tickets, bearing in mind how bad you say things have been for the last few years?
