The asian woman who reads the local news for the BBC - Shurpara or Shwarma or whatever she's called....
She's just approached my mate's band (Black Ashen Effect, previously Thee British Empire, even more previously Sons of Brenda) and asked if she can play keyboards with them :shock:
She saw them play two weeks ago at The Head of Steam in Newcastle
If you imagine Sonic Youth or Joy Division, louder and with far less talent and inferior sound and instruments then you'd be about there... confised

They regularly support a band called Moira Stewart actually (who are pretty good) so there seems to be a theme developing.
