Decided to swerve the shyte being delivered at Pools & go & watch Shildon take on Stalybridge Celtic in FA Cup 2nd Q round. Brackstone/Craddock/Jones holding the back line together & Billy Greulich out on the left wing. Cracking game with Billy getting the only goal of the game & the ex-Poolies easily dealing with a team three leagues higher- match report-http://www.thenorthernecho.co.uk/sport/football/northernleague/division1/read_article/11500746.Billy_s_picture_goal_puts_Shildon_through_in_FA_Cup_shock/

Billy even has a beer named after him these days after his brace won Shildon the Durham Challenge Cup beating Jason "(s) Fluffy Pink Slippers" Ainsley Spenny team.

Back at the Vic for the Carlisle game but good to take a bit of time out from & see some ex-Poolies progress in the Cup.

Enjoy a few northern league games a season and many seem to have an ex poolie on board.

Durham City then Bishop Auckland both managed by Brian Honour in early 2000s and were chock full of ex Pools (mainly youths)

I heard the Shildon Manager praising Gruelich-Smith (as they were calling him), for his 5 goals in the last 4 games, and saying in his opinion he's the most impressive player in their league.
