I'm sick of the mechanistic man telling me about the squirdly wirdler needing repairing again. When I took a sneak peek, he was just hitting a piece of metal with a spanner and nowhere near the car at all. That's the seventh time I've paid £800 for this.
My question is, are there any mechanistics who don't do this? If not, which ones are the cheapest?

It's a common fault. check your gangle pins and while your at it take a good look at the spangle shaft.

If it's a Morris Minor it's bound to be the scruffler plate, if it's any other car it's probably something serious.
