No but as a father of a young girl I can't imagine the horror that those people are going through.

Like I said at the top of this thread....'I am sympathetic'....but it's getting like a Soap Opera now!!!! :roll:

Surely the people over there in Portugal are doing all they can so why have a fund???? confised

I understand having a Fund to catch the people responsible but having a fund to go towards the search....I just don't get it!!!! confised

Plus....would they be as much news coverage if the Mother was a single parent and had left her kids alone in the Hotel....like Madeleine's parents did???? confised

I don't think there would....she'd be getting battered from pillar to post for being a bad parent....and rightly so!!!! confised

But the press don't even seem to have hardly touched on it with them....is it because they are a 'respectable' family....her being a GP and him a Specialist in some field!!!! confised

Plus when he got confronted by the Portugese press about not checking on the kids at all....never mind every half hour....why did he not make a comment eh???? confised

Like I say it is tragic and I hope to God she is found safe and well!!!! confised

Surely it is an arrestable offence leaving children under 4 un supervised?

I really hope that Madeleine is found safe and well and it sounds awful to judge but why would you leave young children alone anywhere never mind foreign shores......

My mrs made a point today which I totally agree with. She said that the parents seem way to calm for a couple who have a missing child. Apparently they are still taking their other kids to nursery every day, I know if I was in their position, which hopefully I never will, I would want my other kids as close to me every second of the day

I feel very uncomfortable with this business, I'm also totally amazed at the way some well oiled publicity/legal process has moved in on the whole thing.
