Infinitely preferred the Peter Green era of Fleetwood Mac but have to admit Rumours is a very good pop album. It also must be said that "Steamy Nicks" was a very dirty looking mare.

"Stevie Nicks books about Kleptomania"

When I were a lad, if you were into Grand Prix then the end of "The Chain" was instantly familiar, as much a part of the experience as Murray Walker, James Hunt, and Nigel Mansell failing to win the World Championship. How much astonishment was there on discovering at some point that the awesome combination of bass and lead guitar was not some hard rock band, but those purveyors of such soft rock/pop tunes as "Lies"!

Songbird, now that's a tune I love, brings back great memories, the story goes that she was naked when she sang it which made me warm to it all the more. go your own way is another good tune.
it's all a bit jeremy clarkson now though isn't it,kind of album you get free with the sunday mail

'Eavy Metal, 'Eavy Metal, 'Eavy Metal.

'Eavy Metal, just like your fuckin' ead. 'Eavy Metal, have I said it enough times??

I was dead keen on 'eavy metal at the time so I thought it was bollocks. I know the famous songs 'cos it's all a bit Radio 2. Coffee table music for the 'yuppie' generation, whatever they were. Heavy debtors if I remember rightly.

I've had that Stevie Nicks though. She's now called Stevie No-Nicks.

Only a spot Mr D, friends round for some scran and a summit meeting about a dickhead from Surrey who's making himself unpopular a round town. We're taking him for a pint and a hard word tomorrow.

It's from Bad News, the Comic Strip thing when the van breaks down and Den the bass player wants to know that they're not New Romantics. It's Vim Fuego's reply. Classic telly.

Go your own way: one of the best songs ever
The rest: forgettable
Stevie Nicks: a right cracker, a great singer, but her best song, 'Sara', wasn't on that album, it was on Tusk.

Yeah, 'don't forget to get your cock out Den.'

Well the Chinese are very hospitable people, if they've got two penny chews they'll give you one of them. The nice thing to do is return the hospitality. The other nice thing to do is not take advantage of the girls. Westeners have a bit of celebrity status here and you get lots of dinner invitations etc, because they like to have a Western face at their table to bounce their bit of English off and the right thing to do is host the occasional dinner, either at home or, if there's a good few people, in a restaurant, it's only about three or four quid a head. Dickhead is spoiling his manners by all taking and no giving and messing the lasses about, and there's mutterings although they're far too polite to say anything directly.

So me and my mate are having a chat, put him straight. Maybe he's just thick, we dunno yet.

Don't agree with your definition of middle of the road Mr Bandage. I think what makes something middle of the road is not lack of ear-bloodiness but total lack of decadence.
Don't know this album but Fleetwood Mac can be very quietly decadent
