I surely can't be the only person sick of seeing the hoardes of people wearing this shirt round the town. Why anyone would want to support that sack of shite is anyones guess, just what have they achieved in most people's lifetimes.

Given the success and excitement Pools have churned out week on week for the last 7 years, it really proves the narrowmindedness (is that a word) of people that they won't go and support Pools but will happily support the 'big 3' who wouldn't know excitment if it bit them on the cock

EXACTLY...! the new shirt appears and all the no marks strut around town with a look of smug vacancy radiating from their gormless faces... these are the sort of people who never go to a bloody match ...anywhere!!... but have the arrogance of seasoned fans and seem to believe it gives them the right to swagger about not realising all it signifies is that they might as well be carrrying a sign saying ...I AM A GULLIBLE TWAT!

You can ALMOST understand why people might support Boro and Sunderland as they (esp Boro) are right on the doorstep and people will always play the 'My uncle took me once as a kid' excuse but Newcastle is 40 miles away and should really be 4th choice to anyone living in the town yet there are fooking loads of the chunts.

Attitudes are changing towards Pools in the town in my opinion, more and more kids / college (young adults) are wearing Pools stuff than ever before. When I was at the FE about 9 years ago it was a case of spot the poolie - literally only 6 or 7 Poolies in the whole place now the town centre has plenty of Pools tops on show at lunch time. Slowly attitudes are changing in my opinion.

If you see kids playing football in the park, or street there's always a couple who have been well brought up. The older generations have been lost so fuck em refred the toon can have the losers. But if pools can continue to excite and challenge at the top end of our league then the backbone of the club will get stronger and stronger.

it's the old let's latch onto what they perceive as successful, even though the the last thing they won was in the 60's  ....... the Keegan era produced lots of hype and won over a lot of wannabe's who thought they were on a sure fire winner on a supercharged bandwagon ... which .... crashed! Ever since, the same losers and spoilt bastards of all ages have clung onto the dream of a revival of their fantasy. It won't happen, if it ever did, we'd all be swept away in a Toonami of bullshit.

If they sign Jim Bowen off BULLSEYE, they can sew the 'B' in front of the 'owen' ...but it aint very likely.

But it's simple, really, isn't it.....football just means different things to different people. Supporting a football team for a lot of people is a way of identifying with their town.
But wearing the shirt of another town doesn't mean that fan identifies with the other town in any significant way. It just means....nothing very much.

actually, if they did come to Pools, then people like headlander would go up one notch on the evolutionary scale.

Or maybe not.......thinking about it THEY might go up on the evolutionary scale...........

ultimately because of their smugness after purchasing said item,a few of them will forget to look both ways when they cross the road sooner rather than later. Hopefully.
