He's still going on about that? Thought it was bad enough saying he didn't get to be England's captain, just gets worse.

He was kind of rambling on innocuously until the bit where he lost me when talking about hirlng foreign black managers. It's not like the clubs he's talking about, i.e. prem clubs, hire a lot of white English managers either.

I can almost see his overall point but boy is he bad at getting it across.

His tone always sounds very aggressive, and I think he comes across arrogant aswell.

He was a bit of a loner as a footballer, he'd room alone on away trips and sit alone in the dressing room, that seems to have continued after retirement too.

Isn't that his argument though? He didn't fit in with dressing room culture and he doesn't fit well on the tiresome ex-pro rent-a-quote circuit either. He clearly feels that this is at least partly because of insistence on being honest about racism in the game rather than showing loyalty to the football family. Swimming against the stream like that does make people seem arrogant - you have to be extremely convinced that you're right to put up with the shit that comes your way.

I get the impression from what I've read it was simply his personality that made him a lone wolf, maybe that was shaped from a few racial incidents he suffered as a teenager, one when he was on trial at west ham particularly got to him, so maybe your right, maybe he's always felt alone as a black man with little support.

I don't know what he wants now. I don't know what he wants people to do, should we give black managers jobs just because they are black?

Should we give black players the captains armband just to please Sol?

He seems to twist and moan a lot, yet I don't know what his end result is.

It sounds to me like all the other black players have quite rightly distanced themselves from him.

It sounds to me like he has some kind of problem which prevents him from keeping a proper perspective on reality. He may well have been England captain on more occasions if Beckham wasn't in the squad, but that's life.

Sadly people like him do more to propogate racist attitudes than snuff them out.

And the bloke still has no concept of why he is so despised at Tottenham. Thats how arrogant and stupid he is.

His deluded and paranoid outbursts make me think he might have mental health problems.

Sadly the media are all too happy continuing to milk him for newsworthy bullshit, and I can see it continuing unfortunately.

I don't think we can really comment as none of us know what it's like to be black in a what is, at least when he first started, a racist culture. It may look better now, I suspect that there's a degree of truth in his analysis.

I doubt that. Tottenham and Arsenal had many black players before he turned up. Especially Arsenal.

He is just one very strange and deluded man.

I am surprised no one has been on yet claiming we shouldnt critisise him in case he has mental health issues.

Now if he had played at the same time as Viv Anderson, or John Barnes at Watford then yes he may have a case. It was disgusting what happened to them.

Or the Luton players that were shockingly racially abused at Pools.

I know what it's like to be in a much smaller minority in a less enlightened society and I can testify that I really don't give a bugger what attitudes are or what people say. I just give it back in spades (no pun intended) if the need arises, and the situation often ends in much mirth.

People can be so precious sometimes.

Can you imagine what would happen if I started demanding to be a football manager because I'm white and there's not enough white managers here?

I'd get laughed out and I'd deserve it.

Kick it out campaigners etc need to have a word with him and tell him he is not helping and if anything is having a negative effect on the whole racism/equality issue.

It's like listening to a skinnier version of lenny Henry. Everything has to revolve around being allegedly discriminated against because you is black.

PS I don't want to hear Horden's opinion.

I was waiting for him to blame the Ukraine or Israel for the huge hardships Sol Campbell has had to endure.
