Probably not getting slagged off like he did here for looking after himself.

Played too many Hollywood balls though, never suited to our Xavi/Iniesta model of play.

It can't have been him who scored those goals - everyone knows he never crosses the halfway line.

I liked Walton, but he didn't figure in Colin Cooper's plans and that's good enough for me.

Still, it should be a lively atmosphere if he's still in the Stevenage team when they come up here - what's the odds he joins the long list of ex-players who score against us?

I'm not being funny here but he is a player who is always going to look good in pre season when the tempo is slow and he's not being pressed so has time and space to pass it around. I remember thinking we had a good player the first time I saw him in pre season.

The same could be said for Alan Power as well.

To be fair, Alan Power looked awesome playing in the reserves as well, him and Bjornsson.

Dodgy comparison though. Walton has never been out of the Football League. Power played only 6 times for Pools and has been in non-league football since he left us.

Dennis Behan.
The most impressive pre season friendly player I ever saw at Pools.

Power was a great player for pools.

If you replace player with drinker and 'for pools' with 'in church street'

My lasting memory of Behan is his free kick nearly knocking Joey Gudjohnsen out in that League Cup game against Burnley, deep into extra time. He was helped off the pitch, and somehow allowed to come back on. Within two minutes Pools get another free kick, and Behan puts into the same part of poor Joey's face.
