Recently it has to be a ten metre landline extension cable, but in my youth you could get a ten pack of johnnybags, and they were ribbed as well. I doubt we'll ever see value like that return to these shores.

Hmmmm! Got it, a year or so ago got a bottle of stuff to unblock the bathroom sink. Still have the other half a bottle, will come in handy one day.

I bought a retractable Camping Washing Line, complete with 8 pegs. Great for drying your towels on etc, served me well for about 5 years it has!

Pair of toenail clippers (which I use for my finger nails them being big an' all) in 1998 for 4 francs (40p), still clipping away perfectly.

A large plastic concertina type pump for blowing up airbeds/other inflatable items. Once you've mastered the slightly odd leg movement it makes all camping trips easier.

Marcus Trescothick's autobiography. Not a bad read, and all the better for being a snodger.

You see this is why I hate Wasps; always over reacting.

They are quality those tennis bat zappers, it should be made into a competitive sport. The thing is when you've got one in your sights you will not give in until you've got it. The last one I had ended up snapped in two after an over zealous swipe at a particularly elusive bluebottle.

The 'use by' date on them was about a month from when I bought them, hence the low price. At the time I was going out with lass who was like a Duracell bunny crossed with a dog trying to shake itself dry, so I went through them like a dose of salts.

Ha! She hasn't married I don't think, probably realised she'll never have someone as good as me again. :)

The pound shop is cracking for DVD and CDs from time to time. They are also good for any cables etc like AUX, SCART leads which Tesco etc try to charge you through the eyeballs for.
