Flight shot down to either Russians or Ukrainian separatists apparently. Unfortunate coincidence?

It's certainly not going to do much to quieten down conspiracy theorists about the missing one...

Sounds like the Russians have been firing missiles at Ukrainian planes in that area so a stray one looks like a good bet. Malaysian Airlines aren't having a lot of luck.

I know Russia is a huge place, but surely flying over there is a risky flight path given everything that is going on

There's about four airlines that avoid the area now. We flew over there last September but I wouldn't do it now.

Word is, it's nowt to do with the conflict.

My mate is going to Lankawi on Monday but even the islands are prone to attacks from the Phillipinos now.

Me, I'm off to South Korea.

It's a mad world.

I think it's much better than the world my parents and grandparents grew up in. For starters the pubs are open all day and you can buy loom bands all over.

Easy access to Frankie Vaughan as well Mr Nottingham, no more embarrassing trips to the newsagents or lending a VHS from the ropey single bloke at work.

You been to South Korea before Spender?, one of my sons is going out there as a Uni placement next month, any advice you could give him on things to do/avoid please?

No mate, it's just an opportunist thing as my nephew is playing a festival there, so me and our rass are having a cheeky week there.

My Canadian mate spent three years teaching there so I could hook your lad up with him if you want? He's a decent gadgie apart from being a Man City fan, but he got his PGCE in Glasgow.

What city? I'd guess Seoul?

Luckily mate he's got another course member going out there too, so they can bounce idea's off each other, but he's a fussy eater at best, so not sure how he'll manage out there.

Thanks for that though, he could give them some good advice I guess. Sorry but I'm dashing out to the local pub quiz.
