Admitadly the signing of White could hardly be described as a cartwheel signing but if this is true:

http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/footbal ... 657039.stm

Then its not a bad deal at all, can't remember ever having seen him play but if he was POTY for a team that won league 1 its a hell of a signing.

Still shows a massive lack of ambition on his part, play in the Championship or against Accrington Stanley and Dagenham. Still the money must be good!

It's good to see cash is still king in the football world.

First Chris Westwood, now this fella, I suppose we'd all do the same if the chance came along though.

A great signing for Darlo but I can't for the life of me understand why he would want to drop down two divisions.

Well you say that.......................

Lets have a closer look.

Scunthorpe player of the year..............age appears to be unknown.

Now, why would a player about to play in the championship leave, and go back to league two?

It matters not which team the guy went to, it is just very very strange.

And shows an immense lack ambition on the players part does it not?

And yet another ex Donny player. Remember Martin Scott and his Sunderland fixation?

Lets just watch and see.

He's 26.

Doesn't matter how old he was, he is POTY for a team that has just run away with league 1. Whatever way you look at it they've made a very decent signing.

They have signed seemingly a good player however we thought the same when we got Lee Bullock and Darren Williams.

If you look at the teams in Division Four thoguh next season - it is probably going to be ebarrassingly shite, the bottom half are terrible. Darlo should do alright. They may finally break into the top 7

The BBC link says he's 26...Scunthorpe site says he was born in 1979.

BBC last year said he was 31.

Trust Darlow that get players with fake IDs.

A bit different though - this guy's had a good season, while Bullock had hardly played for Cardiff and Williams had missed a fair bit of the season through injury after being let go by Sunderland.

If they're getting that sort of player in, then Penney's being given some backing and you'd have to say that they will have reasons to expect to be at the top end next season. We'll just have to get promoted again to maintain the gap
clappp

Depends what deal Scunny offered him though?? If it was one year and darlo offered him longer, at 33 he'd obviously go for the longer deal, even if he will be playing turgid, violent, hoof-ball.

If he's a Willie Boland it's a good move. If he's not, he's taking one last pay day which everyone knows you can get at Darlo.
