PostPosted: Tue May 13, 2014 10:40 am
This is the thread you've all been waiting for...where people can go off-topic at any time, on any subject, without fear of being modded or accused of being an anti-social element.

But, first, I might be going to Sedgefield races this afty. Has anyone any good tips?

Given my earlier post, I should point out that afternoons are best for a nap, not for the races. Sleeping in the day is really underrated.

But not for jockeys. You would almost certainly fall off the horse if you were asleep.

That just shows how gay you are.

A bloke cannot ever eat too many kebabs.

Well I've just had some craic with Orient fans in the Wetherspoons in Victoria station, and I really hope they win the play-offs.

Surprisingly his name didn't come up now I think about it. He's one of those Pools players who has gone from my memory.

Did you know that the name of the herb Tarragon has nothing at all to do with the city of Tarragona.
Well, apart from being practically the same word that is.
I blame it all on the banks, the sly, money siphoning barstewards.

I blame it on Enoch Powell's cock. Similar to a chorizo but surfing in on a river of blood. Nasty.

Well that was fun. I lost all my bets and didn't see Mr Birthmark's tip until too late. Never speak to me of Frank the Slink. He slunk to the back and then appeared to go backwards.

Also a few jockeys fell off their horses in the first race. I think they must have been taking Mr Fatman's advice about afternoon naps
