If Arsenal, man united, Liverpool, city and co have a B team do the gate attendances etc for the B team contribute only to the B team or does it go back in to one pot for that club? In other words are these two teams A and B team now two seperate entities or do they all come under one banner?

I may of fell out of love with football a few years ago. The champs league, premiership, play offs, semis at wembley have all damaged my love for the game, just looking for an excuse to jack it in, this would be it. Thankfully I don't think it will come off.

Even if it doesn't come off now, it shows their thinking about it, n the top teams want it, n that normally means they get it.

The only influence on these people is lucre. Like I said the other day; mass cancelling of Sky Sports will have far more effect that pointless online polls. They will sit up and take notice of tens of thousands of cancelled subscriptions. Murdock has far more influence that all of the football league clubs combined.

I wouldn't go to any B team games...doubt I'd sack football off altogether but would be truly fuckin' livid if this bag of shite somehow happened...

Yeah you are right, should of said won't come off SOON. It will happen eventually probably in conjunction with a European League. The domestic league would be 2 divisions of premier B teams and the likes of Leicester, Brighton etc. The rest of us would join a glorified non league pyramid system of about 30 divisions like on the continent, shite!

I'm no stranger to the claims that Sky has an adverse effect on gates at all clubs (not just lower leagues), I just didn't realise from what I'd read in this thread that that was what was being referred to and asked for clarification.

You've made completely the wrong assumption about why I was asking.

That article confirms to me that while the excuse may be that the B league will make England a better team, the truth is that it is going to make the elite more elite and leave everyone else in the dark ages.

I know we point and laugh at Darlington on here but if this B thing happened then within 10 years we would be playing at an equivalent level to the one they're at now, only we wouldn't be there because of relegation or administration but simply because the gap to the top would be so big it was never going to close.

If the FA want to make the England side better they need to put some decent people in charge of the FA, bring in a cap on squad sizes and on the number of foreigners in each sides 1st 11.

Man City won the PL today with only 5 Brits making appearances for them this season in the league, of those 5 only 2 were regulars. They are owned by one of the worlds richest families who don't give a toss about anything other than making money and flaunting money. The runners up Liverpool seem to have a more British squad but are still owned by an American pair who like to milk sport for cash via franchising and merchandising.

Football at the level we occupy doesn't interest these men, the TV men or the media. Little people who have a passion aren't important, what matters to them are brands and the weak minded consumers who buy into the brand to buy security and a piece of success. B leagues will give them a chance to shove their brands down the throats of more people, Man United B v Hartlepool would be pumped up as a gift for Hartlepool fans from the rich, it would of course in reality just be a way to get the Man Unite brand into more towns and they'd hope by watching the B team here more shirt and subscriptions would be sold for the proper team to Hartlepool fans in need of a slice of their success.
